[Question] Was Shanks Rogers favorite nakama?

I'd say he saw great potential within him just as Shanks saw the same in Luffy.
His favourite Nakama is Rayleigh.

We know it firstly belonged to Roger, it was his hat... but then why does Shanks have it while he was on his ship? I thought that was odd, that he was wearing his hat while he was still alive, because for that to be the case Roger would have had to give it to him before his death.

That would imply he was his favorite nakama, no? Or could he see into the future and gave it to Shanks with the intent of it being passed to Luffy? I mean it had some sort of value obviously.

Crack prediction I keep to myself because it's a long shot, but maybe his CoO Haki level was so powerful he could peak into the future.

Roger got bored and he decided he'll throw that hat,and when he was about to throw shanks came and said

shanks - "Roger san are you going to throw you're hat"

Roger - "yes my hair falls too much when i put this f*****g hat,I want this sexy hair of mine"

Shanks - "but that hat looks really gud on you,but i guess you don't have a choice.....If you're going to throw then will you pls give it to me"

Roger - "What!!!!! I just said my hair falls coz of this hat,and you have a great red hair i don't like to say this but you have a nice hair than mine and you want that sexy hair to be gone, No.... i don't want that to happen"

Shanks - "My hair is very strong i use whale oil every knight,so it's really,really strong"

Roger - "ok if you want that badly i'll give it to u,but don't blame me later"

Shanks - " Ok "

Roger - " here"

That's how Shanks got Roger hat.................
