Was Naruto 2015 Worth it??

Naruto anime was definately not the spark of this 2015 when we got insanely amount of fillers for over 80% of the time and when we finally get to canon, the art and animation was half ass especially the most anticipated fight with Gai vs Madara which ended disappointed. At that time, the core of the Animator are still working on Boruto Movie.

In the Other Hand, We Got 2 Naruto movies this year in particular for Naruto the Last and Boruto Naruto the Movie featuring High Budget Films. Studio Pierrot Staffs are Prioritizing these Movies in which Kishimoto was involved over Shippuden Anime.

In return We get New Content that are canonical to the Story with some very best qualities .

Now the core animators are back, they are probably working on their efforts with Kaguya/ Naruto vs Sasuke arc so instead we get more fillers thrown to us to buy enough time until their canon production are set to course.

So overall we only get 8 canon episodes with suffering qualities but we got 2 movies instead.

Was 2015 worth it??

I stopped when I saw them fighting against kabuto and orochimaru, I felt like watching a cartoon.

The movies are cool and all but it still doesn't justify it at all.

I thought night gai was greatly animated imo, and the bit of obito vs madara and Naruto and sasuke talking to the sage. Everything else was mediocre at its finest.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Vote2 fight in another year or two away (i don't watch the anime so i don't know what point it was at before the fillers)

I thought night gai was greatly animated imo, and the bit of obito vs madara and Naruto and sasuke talking to the sage. Everything else was mediocre at its finest.

Night gai has good bits piece animation there and there but overall standard the whole fights is just average and it could've done better.

Movies are great and all, but as far as the anime series is concerned, it's just not worth the watch. Imo. Simple as that.

(I've never watched filler episodes to begin with, but I can kind of understand the concept of there existence.. however the fact that the manga is finished, and they're STILL choosing to put out fillers, rather than canon, is just beyond me.)

The problem is that they had tons of filler in 2014 as well when they weren't working heavily on a movie and when the Naruto manga was either ended or coming to an end. The Chuunin exam fillers were so unnecessary and it got better animation than the canon episodes. The Lee vs Shira fight in the filler had better animation and displayed taijutsu in animated form much better than Gai vs Madara.
Perrot studio is just making poor decisions and not prioritizing what's essential. I don't know why the feel fillers have to happen and why they deserve better animation or good animation at all.

They had to do their weak movies, instead of creating a legit anime.

Judging it from simply animation/music and etc (not the actual Naruto story), Fairy tail/One Piece and many others take it.

Naruto would've been an all-time great if not the greatest anime, had it been done write and given proper care. From the weak intros to the weak emotional side story-lines, and the average or below animation. And failure to create interesting fillers that'd actually impact the story and get readers interested.

Boruto was amazing and all I really care about.

I love filler and don't care so much about canon, I just wish the filler itself was better rather than alternate world with the messed up timelines, jumbling and mis-matching random characters and events. It's bad filler coming from a guy who likes filler.

yes but unlike 2015, 2014 has good fillers. Remeber kakashi anbu ? That was one of the best filler,not to mention it has some good animation within this filler. The Hyuga sister are also good filler consider this filler serves the purpose to promote Naruto the Last.

Not mention we even got decent amount of good art and animation canon episodes for example Obito vs Mist Ninja, Shinobi alliance vs 1st/2nd form Juubi, Neji deaths, Obito vs Kakashi, Obito becoming Juubi, and lastly some good parts of Juubito vs Naruto and the crews.

We got over 75% of canon last year so they definately handled way better than 2015 even despite working on the movie...

They had to make movies cause Kishi was involved bringing new stuff to the table which personally assuming most of us would rather see new content rather than the adaptation of the Anime that we already know what's going to happen since most of us are manga readers.

So although the movies are good, the Naruto anime suffered greatly with the pacing and poor animation as well as giving more rehashes of flashbacks and fillers.

Most of us expected canon will launch for the rest of 2015 after chuunin filler arc but this isn't really the case in fact we are getting infinite fillertsukoymi since there's no words when the canon are coming.

Keep in mind it's extremely rare to get Two Naruto movies in a year, based on track record, generally we only get 1 movies in every 1-2 years but this is the first time in history that we get 2 canonical movie happened in 2015.
