Was Marco killed by the Anti Human squad?

If I remember correctly half of his head was blown off similarly to the anti human sqyad victims of this chapter. His injuries in my eyes did not look titan related.

Nice theory but personally I think the only purpose of Marco's death was to motivate Jean and progress his character. I cant think of any reason the government would want to kill him.
