Was Kabuto a real threat to Obito in 490?

Madara can't just break the Edo Tensei whenever he wants, only because of Itachi making Kabuto undo it, he was able to free himself. Kabuto could have easily put Madara in mindless mode, but didn't because they were both on the same side at the time, and didn't need to.

So, the fight would go either way, it depends how well Obito could handle Edo Madara if Kabuto pulled him out, but Itachi and Nagato would push Obito hard core anyway.

I personally think that the reason why Obito backed down at the time was because Kabuto knew he wasn't Madara. Which could be why Kabuto then said, "Don't worry, I haven't told anyone"

Although in a fight, I don't think Obito would want to.fight all of those Edos and then continue on to the war. Even if he uses Izanagi, what'll he do to get rid of the Edos? Warping them away would only mean that he'll have to worry being hit from the other side.

Although if at first Kabuto does give Madara some movement like during the war, all Madara has to do is form the seals to break out of Edo Tensei and then join Obito.
