Itachi fame wise was known by everyone. As the man who murdered his whole clan and as a fearsome shinobi. Fame wise yes but clearly not for the same reasons. Power wise yes. He easily neutralized oro when he started in the akatsuki. Tsunade doesnt stand a chance against him honestly. And he could go toe to toe with jman. Thatd be one hell of a battle

Yes. He embarrassed Orochimaru twice. Once being only like 14-15 years old. And he could easily take on Tsunade I'm guessing. Kind of hard to constantly heal never-ending flames. As for Jiraiya, not as powerful, but on the same tier most likely.

Either way, yes, Itachi was Sannin level.
