Was Gold Roger a devil fruit's user??

Though he was lucky ... I mean in his fight in Stronghold (Episode 0) with Shiki ... He only 1 ship against like 50 ships (Shiki had the biggest force in the sea at that time) and Roger still won

Umm, it was never indicated he did and didnt, , i think he did, if not had THE STRONGEST haiki, cuz to get to new world and have that type of power and or fame, he had to have some fruit

I think he just had a really really good Observation Haki, allowing him to see the nature of things at levels higher than anyone shown. I don't think he had a devil fruit.

Nah I think not and I hope not either. Charachters like Roger and Shanks are badass because they kick ass without fruit. Roger was the only "real" pirate in One Piece for me. He wears the the classic hat/coat/pants/sash and a big mustache. After he died all these new age pirates went to sea XD Roger was a old fashioned fruitless pirate with a good crew and probably enourmous Haki.

Strong haki isn't enough to counter Whitebeard's Gura Gura no Mi in my opinion

i'm sure if the most famous pirate had a fruit ability people would have known about it..and it would also ruin his achievement...just like luffy..his fruit is considered the weakest of the 3 types...the fruit he has makes up for his stupidity lol

but we have actually seen the fight right! when it was at climax huge waves intrupted them.
