The change was drastic. Him letting Mr. Satan take credit for beating Cell was a complete kill for me.

gohan as a pacifist didnt care about fame.

I can imagine.....Cell would've killed him outright and the series would've ended. THAT is why he's a shoddy character. What's the point of having all that power if I need a narcissistic enemy to bully me AND my friends AND my family to unlock it? It has no purpose against people who go against you with the sole intention to see you dead.

its called holding to your beliefs.
gohan would not wish someone dead, even at the cost of his friends and father. it took both that and 16 being crushed to convince him to let his saiyan side take over. which turned out to be a mistake anyway.

really it was gokus fault for forcing gohan to go out there alone in the first place, rather than gangraping a weakened cell using senzus.
gokus plan sucked and he didnt know enough about his son.
