Was Danzo Strong?

All that Danzo could do was use a useless elephant summon; and Izanagi. Why was he this weak?

Perhaps you've forgot that he was older by a few years than Hiruzen was while fighting Orochimaru, and they actually talked about how Hiruzen is weakened, compared to his prime, so was Danzo, though he gained some 'extras' since his prime.

actually I think that his prime was around that time, because of all the upgrades he got, also someone who gets to use Izanagi like 10 times in a fight is not that strong

Exactly. All he did was izanagi spam. Imagine someone like Sasuke or Itachi having access to those many Izanagis.

Yes, he seemed really weak cuz to plot no jutsu wanting him dead against Sasuke. I really wonder how this man was Sarutobi's rival when he is not even capable to avoid kunais, lmao U_U

Yea he was strong it's just sasuke was stronger he couldn't break Susano'o, but with 10/11 mins of izanagi and you don't know about it you could be caught off guard and killed and with one touch he could put a curse on you which leaves you paralyzed, not too mention KA which would be a auto win
