[Discussion] Was Ace intruduced too early?

I hated the fact Ace died I was hoping and wishing for so long that it wasn't true. It made for a very emotional part in the story line though.

I cant believe you can be so ignorant... Luffy knew he wasnt strong but still was head strong because he knew he would see his crew again and that they were alive like him and he would see them in Sabody again. But losing Ace flicked his trigger he then realized in the NW there would be plenty of people capable of killing his Nakama. After losing Ace he realized being so head strong without enough strength to back it up would be useless. Thats why he lost it on Maiden Island with Jinbei cause he thought he would lose everyone. So he decided to get stronger and train. Rayleigh wouldnt have suggested it anyways because he wouldnt able to train all of the SH if they came back to Sabody at the same time. So why dont you take your baseless statment and shove it up your crack. Oda wrote what he did for a reason stop trying to change that. If you dont like what Oda did then dont read OP

go re-read/watch wat rayleigh said..his decision had nothing to do with ace :flaw: rayleigh made up his mind before ace even died

No. The fact that Ace died hurt... It did, but it formed the series. If he hadn't been introduced, then Luffy would never leave Kuja island, go to Impel Down, then go to Marineford, meet Jinbe, get trained by Rayleigh, give the message to the SH and alot more.

i agree...though ace dying in front of luffy wrenched my heart...

wel yea, i guess he could have been given more time with SH's like stay the whole crocodile arc or somthing. or even d cp9 arc..since luffy had to take down 2 himself :shrug:

This, his death didn´t have any real meaning.

His death was the saddest moment in OP. I was hoping to see him afterwards. But still, there had to be an important person's death, or the story would get too childish...

I still think Ace's character could be much more developed...
