I never claimed he wasn't able to defend. You are more than welcome to point it out. Hidan also was literally fighting with shadows. That is a lot more difficult to evade than visible opponents: .
Shikas shadows arnt that fast and was shown to be slower than hidan in canon , who kakshi reacted to , while bein comboed , evading the shadows aint an impressive feat.
Hidan was also reacting to Shikamau and Kakashi and keeping up with Kakazu's strategy as well. That's also a lot to keep up with and he was constantly pressuring Kakashi. .
When was hidan reactin to shikamru and kakshi simultaneously , got scans? this was oviously guerilla-tactic used by hidan/kakusu , they were obviously a coordinated team , him successfully coordinating with kakusu doesn't say much.
I am sorry, this is a battle. Using the term "blind-side" is an excuse, when all party's are going all out on the grounds..
Yes this is a battle in which kakshi successfully reacted to and fended off hidan who blind-sided him after he jumped to evade kakusus katon.
Kakashi not doing so doesn't mean he couldnt do so , take away hidans scyt and we have shika finding easy openings in his attack , yet this guy is more skilled than kakakshi? unless shika could just a easily do the same to kakshi under the same stipulations? kakashi the genius is obviously more skilled than the immortal daredevil.Obviously. His weapon is very big and requires swinging. Even then Kakashi couldn't find any opening to deal with him. No matter which way you look at this, Kakashi is the less skilled one, I'm afraid.
