If you use the databook, you can't pick and choose what to accept and what to discard. Chuunin Exams Neji has the stats from the 1st Databook. Current Hinata's stats won't be known until the 4th Databook, but at the very least, they're equal to her 3rd Databook stats, which placed her a slight bit above CE Neji.

What exactly were CE Neji's feats? Beating up Lee in practice fights when Lee didn't even a fraction of his true power via the Gates? Beating Hinata, who we've acknowledged was incredibly weak at the time? Losing to Naruto?

Oh, right, he was "considered a genius." You know, just like CE Sasuke. The guy who got solo'ed by Lee w/o even using the Gates.

Of you're going by Hinata's early part two stats, (book 3), then she totals at a 21.5, and Neji totals at a 21 as his part one self. Now let's take away the useless factors of this match up.

Genjutsu: Hinata has a half extra point in this, which makes them both 21.

Now let's look at the other stats
Neji and her are tied on taijutsu, which is unimpressive for Hinata against a part one Neji.

Intelligence: I don't know why, but Hinata has the higher score here, but I highly doubt intelligence would play a deciding factor on Hyuga vs. Hyuga.

Strength: Neji has one whole point higher than her

Speed: his part one self has higher speed.

Stamina & hand signs = same score

So over all, including data books, part one Neji still wins.

Still you say Neji beating him is a lack of feat while it is better than anything Hinata have shown at part 2? He lost to Naruto as Naruto had the luxury of an outer chakra source-something many ninja do not. Also he closed his byakugan before the battle ended. Hinata's fate against that Naruto would not be any better as he negates her main course of damage.

What are Hinata's feats which are better than beating part 1 base Lee and barely losing kyuubi enhanced Naruto (not even counting SRA feats)? I am curious.

I figure if the 4th Databook existed, Hinata scores around a 24 or 24.5. Not enough to go toe to toe with Neji from the end of Part 1, but more than enough to handle CE Neji.

At the very least, 4th SWW Hinata took out a few of the Juubi spawn. That seems better than beating a taijutsu specialist in a sparring battle who wasn't even using anywhere near his best taijutsu.

I dunno, I just think you're underrating Hinata because you dislike the character. I mean really, you think CE Lee with no gates would beat 4th SWW Hinata? No gates means he can't even use the Initial Lotus.

I agree, I think SRA Neji would beat 4th SWW Hinata. I think CE Neji's arrogance is a huge burden for him in fights; by the end of Part 1, not only did he increase his power, he was also a smarter, more mature combatant.

Funny thing is Hinata was handling Neji in the chuunin exams. 2+ years of training, and she was also handling Pain. I'd LOVE to see part 1 Neji even LOOK at Pain without crying.
