Just because you got "one shotted" doesn't mean a thing.
Neji got 1 shotted by a piece of wood. Does that make him fodder? Does that mean he couldn't beat the piece of wood in a proper 1v1?

Neji was protecting Hinata and Naruto he could very well choose to live.

I still don't see a legit reason why Hinata wins this.

This is the guy who graduated top of his class, made a joke out of a taijutsu user like Lee, learnt main family jutsus with no one's aid by observation and talent at early ages, defeated a long range curse mark user when he is close range oriented.

Hinata's "feats" of owning a juubi clone is not touching these.

Yeah, he made a joke out of Lee when Lee never used his trump card. Did you see Neji's face during the Lee vs. Gaara fight? 5 Gates Lee would have steamrolled Neji.

Anyway, it depends on when in Part 1 we're dealing with when you say "Part 1 Neji". Chuunin Exams? Hinata wins, probably pretty easily. End of Part 1? I'll give it to Neji by a hair.

Databook stats back this up. Neji circa the Chuunin Exams scored a 21 total. Hinata had a 21.5 in the 3rd databook, and that was released in 2008. She's obviously a bit higher now.

However, in the 2nd Databook, which covers right before the timeskip, Neji jumps to a 25 total.

So? Even without gates part 1 Lee is undoubtly a superior taijutsu than Hinata. Feats speak volumes here, i don't care about her rank. 5th gate Lee would steamroll Hinata worse so i don't get your comparasion.

Hinata is not beating CE Neji when she did not even show decent speed and taijutsu feats above neither Neji or his competetors. Her airpalms won't do jack against rotation, i don't even see how she touches him.

SRA Neji is undoubtly superior to her. Databook stats and feats prove this.

If you use the databook, you can't pick and choose what to accept and what to discard. Chuunin Exams Neji has the stats from the 1st Databook. Current Hinata's stats won't be known until the 4th Databook, but at the very least, they're equal to her 3rd Databook stats, which placed her a slight bit above CE Neji.

What exactly were CE Neji's feats? Beating up Lee in practice fights when Lee didn't even a fraction of his true power via the Gates? Beating Hinata, who we've acknowledged was incredibly weak at the time? Losing to Naruto?

Oh, right, he was "considered a genius." You know, just like CE Sasuke. The guy who got solo'ed by Lee w/o even using the Gates.
