Gaara sand wasn't effected because they used there ability in complete sync similar to . Naruto didn't get burned because of them synced abilities.

Hm, I suppose Itachi was insync with Naruto when he first used Amaterasu [ ]. No, Amaterasu's burning capabiltieis are inconsistent. Karin was burned to a minor degree for having it on her body. Nor do I see how them being in sync when attacking negates the effects you suggest liquid has on sand. Even in Naruto and Sasuke's collaboration, the fuuton chakra was .
As for my argument for Kisame he uses for the natural elemental advantage. After that's done Kisame absorbs Samehada to nullify Gaara sand crushing techs which means he could absorb chakra control over the sand on touch via His body being fused with Samehada. Then ends Gaara. Also GSB absorbs chakra and the more chakra it absorbs it gets stronger and more lethal.

Alright. Gaara does possess sand that has chakra in it, correct. But something you neglected to mention was the fact that Gaara also can make use of sand without chakra. As to completely absorb the ninjutsu and Gaara's sand when faced against it.

As Kisame expands his domain; Gaara can take to flight and keep out of Kisame's space. Once that is established, he can quite casually make with his sand. I shall remind you this is Gaara after fighting Madara and not in the best of conditions. Not to mention the speed gaara can travel at while on the sand is rather impressive. The Gokage even opting for this over using Oonoki's flight technique.

Great Shark Bomb is rather useless; it's an over sized bullet that will just thrust a sand sphere back. Nothing more. As for nullfying Gaara's sand coffin; I don't see how fusion works as a counter. All it does is make Kisame a harder and quicker target. But with gaara able to replicate a strategy he used on Deidara and have massive constructs come from every which way while in the safety of the air. . . Kisame is eventually caught and crushed. Samehada's lack of presence throws regeneration out the window as well.

It clearly says in that scan the only reason Madara didn't absorb the sand was due to the raiton/suiton jutsu

It depends on how big the beach is, OP hasn't given enough information.

Issac, look carefully in this scan please [ ].

Left hand side, we can see all the nature chakra's being distorted as they bend into Madara. He's clearly using the preta path here. You can even see raiton. I'll enlargen it.

Pretty decent sized beach. I wanted to make it an even field advantage for both. Let's not forget the bottom of the ocean is full of sand too and they are not that far from the shoreline.

Actually no there was way to many other factors in that scan to come to the assumption that Gaara can make chakra less sand. With that logic Ei can make chakra-less ration.

How is Gaara making those sand hands when the battlefield is covered in sand and the ground is buried under about 50ft or more of water? Scan of Gaara impressive air-born speed feats?

Actually it's very use-full since it's an attack and a defense at the same time. Any sand Gaara put in the way gets absorbed and it would only make GSB stronger. His fusion would work perfect against Sand coffin because when the sand enclose on Kisame he'll simply absorb the chakra out of it.

I will just copy and paste what is on the previous page. The sand that gaara send was unable to be absorbed whereas the rest of the chakra was. Madara did not find difficulties until the sand arose. Proof is in the pudding; His sand was not absorbed by the Preta Path which is superior in chakra absorption to Samehada.

I don't see how a liquid substance is bothering him when he sent Kimimaro how far down in the earth, again? His manipulation of sand and the lengths it can go to is quite impressive. Other than the fact it traversed the battle fields of Madara and the Gokage to tje Juubi's own crater? There is nothing *remarkable* said to be of it's speed. It's not avoiding Amaterasu nor will it leave the radius of a large Fuuton rasenshuriken. But it is god damn quick enough to escape any of Kisame's jutsu which are not known for speed but for overwhelming might over a landscape.

No, it won't. Great Shark Bomb is a linear bullet, Gaara's stance in the air would allow him an ample amount of time to avoid it unless it is of monstrous sizes. But even then, Gaara's sand will endure. Uhuh. No, I see this will be another point we have to tackle before any discussions can be held on the rest of the match up.

Either way his Preta was already being used when the sand made contact with him, so of course he's not going to be able to absorb it, Besides due to its wet nature even if he did absorb the chakra out of it, it would stick to him regardless it was mixed with water if i'm not mistaken? Absorbing the sand is not possible, absorbing the chakra Gaara uses to manipulate the sand however is. As I said Madara could of still done that however due to the wet nature its still going to stick and hold rather nicely

Kisame has the advantage here. The chakra absorption of Kisame sword coupled with the extra chakra Gaara needs to infuse in the sand to manipulate it, or to keep it to necessary speeds if its slowed down by water, could rapidly deplete Gaara's chakra reserves. However if Gaara plays it smart and takes the Battle to the air on his sand cloud and sends attacks from above Kisame, he stands a decent chance.

Kisame absorbs any of the chakra attached to the sand thus making it useless as an attacking option. The sand will remain but it won't be under Gaara's control. In the case Gaara decides a mass sand attack which can't be absorbed at a fast enough pace, he can use his subterranean voyage to liquefy the nearby sand and nullify the pressure it would have on him had it been in solid state. All in all, Kisame isn't an opponent Gaara would want to face.
