Madara has displayed enough forethought and foresight in his planning; particularly by putting his will into the chakra receivers he placed in the restored half of Obito Uchiha's body to force his student into reviving Madara in the event that the plan is ruined in anyway.[190]
He is an adept tactician as seen when he preferred to use the Ten-Tails' matured powers to destroy the Allied Forces HQ in order to obliterate their intelligence centre, rather than directly engaging the Allied Forces army.[191] Madara himself was aware and made use of the kamikaze-like fighting style that the Impure World Reincarnation allowed due to the technique's regenerative powers as seen when he sent a meteorite hurtling towards the battlefield where he was facing the Fourth Division.[192] Madara is also versed in psychological warfare, choosing to focus his efforts into breaking the battle spirits of his adversaries through manipulation and intimidation with deliberate displays of his overwhelming power.
