I wouldn't use Toriyama as a guideline for writing...if you read his Databook interviews, he admits that he intentionally wrote crap on the spot and didn't plan ahead...Goku wasn't even a Saiyan in the first part of dragon ball, just a random monkey boy.

The thing is, Im not talking about planning ahead or vice versa. Im talking if author want his new character to appear in his manga. No one can stop that.

Not all thing(characters or events) need a foreshadow or long history in manga before they appeared in manga. Because their history can be tell later on after they has appeared in manga and readers should accept that. Not all OP villains or their geng as example is foreshadowed before they appeared in manga. Its something normal in Shonen manga.

Asspull is not a right word here. And people need to understand the meaning of Asspull or the situation that Asspull is needed. Kakashi's Susanoo as example. Its because, he defied Manga logic and what make matters worse, no explanation from Kishi.

Something that not come with solid explanation or no explanation at all can be called as asspull.

If power came from the Shinju Tree, aka chakra, and Kaguya was the first person to eat the fruit.

What would she need an army for, and how is that person strong? I feel like an asspull is coming, because not even Hagoromo/Hamura knew of this threat.

She came from a different planet for the sole purpose of eating that fruit, she didn't need an army, she just wanted to turn everybody into Zetsu so that they would have a Hive Mind, thus no more wars, conflicts, or feuds

Translations vary...we've had faraway land, world, and dimension.

Just like Kaguya possessing the Byakugan before/after eating the fruit...Oosutsuki origin is unclear.

Data book as well it said she came from another dimension

Exactly. That's why I find it idiotic too. Something doesn't go well with this whole story guys...

It does if people weren't so set on the aliens thing. The manga was translated as a faraway land.

The Databook is taken as a final product...but the information in it seems like things written in the planning stages of Naruto. Like having info from Kakashi's Anbu filler arc in Yamato's entry.

In early childhood, he was abducted by Orochimaru, and transplanted with Hashirama’s cells; Yamato is the only successful case of a shinobi body with Mokuton (/wood release). Since boyhood, he was possessed darkness, and then entrusted to “Ne” (/Root). With “Kinoe” as a code-name, he engaged in missions. However, as he encountered Kakashi, incidentally as they crossed blades, and jointly struggled together everyday as the weeks elapsed, the darkness proceeded to be wiped away. Removed from “Ne”, from the Sandaime Hokage, he was then awarded with the name “Yamato”, in order to now protect the next era, as well as his comrades of Konoha. Mokuton Hijutsu (/ wood release secret jutsu) is unleashed…!

Having an army makes the takeover easier. She is one being planning to dominate billions. Having an army makes her takeover easier, all-encompassing, and all but eternal.

How do you know this? She was the leader of the Otsutsuki Clan before eating the fruit..
It said she didn't even have the Byakugan until she ate the chakra fruit. So what power would she have had?

What type of power brought to that world, before she gains chakra from eating the fruit? Maybe Kishi will fill us in

Data book

Wait this is the translation... I don't see where it says that she didn't have Byakugan before eating the fruit

Ever since "humans" were given form, they have fought each other and walked in a world of war. The earth was stained with blood, and as if it were absorbing that blood for nourishment, the Shinju took root in the earth. Eventually the Shinju beared a single fruit, and a certain clan came from another world seeking that fruit: the Ootsutsuki clan. Kaguya, leader of the Ootsutsuki, ate the fruit and became the progenitor of all chakra, and with her absolute power brought peace to the world in an instant.

After ending the turbulent era, she became known as the Rabbit Goddess and received the blessing of the people, giving birth to twins. But after that, Kaguya would occasionally use harsh means to rule the people as a dictator. The Byakugan, Sharingan, and Infinite Tsukuyomi - the people feared and respected the jutsu Kaguya wielded. Eventually, the "Rabbit Goddess" became known as a demon instead. And then, Kaguya became ruled by her desire to make all chakra her own.

To make all chakra one - Kaguya's desire eventually turned on Hagoromo and Hamura, her own twin sons with whom she had split her chakra. Kaguya formed a plan, and in order to take in all chakra, fused with the Shinju and battled against her twin sons.

The twins, assuming that the Juubi was a transformed Shinju attacking them in order to reclaim the chakra that was taken from it, faced off against it. And after a fierce battle, the activated Rikudou Chibaku Tensei. They turned it into the moon and sealed it away.

Caption next to Hamura on the last page: The Gedou Mazou, the remaining shell of the Juubi, was sealed in the moon. Hamura took command of the clan to watch over the Mazou.

I'd have to look back. It's the one where it talks about her origin, the dimension, and her powers.

Thanks, OD. You so cool.

In both eyes, Kaguya carried the Byakugan. Eating the fruit of the Shinjyu, she also awakened the Rinnegan.

So Kaguya had the Byakugan before eating the fruit? Totally skips any mention of the Sharingan (or Rinne Sharingan) too. (ಠ_ಠ)

Np~

No, it was all one sentence, but I had to split it up in order to make sense in English. Meaning that by eating the Shinjyu fruit, she obtained the both the Rinnesharingan and Byakugan (at the same time).

But if I kept the format, it goes:

両目に”白眼”を宿したカグヤは神樹の実を食べ、額の ”輪廻写輪眼” も開眼。

Kaguya, who carried the Byakugan in both eyes, ate the fruit of the Shinjyu, (and) also awakened the "Rinnesharingan" on her forehead.

It's unclear if it truly meant that she had it prior. But I assume not, since the Byakugan is a product of chakra in order to see the chakra point system...she would have no use for it because there would be no chakra to see in the first place before she ate the fruit. Unless she used the Byakugan to find the fruit?

I just assumed that the "also" means they happened to be unlocked simultaneously.

she also awakened the Rinnegan
