Surely flying is slower than teleportation?
It is neither flying nor teleportation, it must be space/time.
Or i theorised he just remains 100% still and becomes nature, like the toad says, its extremely difficult for living things to remain still but when they do theyre are perfectly with nature, therefore to do damage to him when hes like this is to use natural energy (he turns into natural energy and as the toad says, no one can see it if they dont know how)
Hence why narutos training will help him whoop madara.
This is also shown by the "wobble wobble" of his feet.
Also whenever he is about to be attacked he remains completely still and doesnt move.

That's an interesting theory, but there's something wrong I think....
It would appear that what your saying has some truth to it, but doesn't nature training take years upon years to complete?
If that was the case, then nature training simply doesn't fit with the Madara continuum.
Because after the fight in ''The Valley of the End'' he fled and became Mizukage of The Hidden Mist.
Do you think he would have time to be doing nature training if he was Mizukage?
Plus, isn't nature training extremely specific as only [Possibly] Naruto and Jiraiya have been said to complete it?
And sure, flying would be slower than teleportation, but if your going say Mach 5 or something like that I doubt there would be much of a difference between flying and teleporting.
One other thing, so your trying to say that he becomes so ''One with nature'' that he simply vanishes into nature?
Only to re-appear in a different location, right?

hmmm...It never says when he becomes mizukage...he was defeated over 80 years ago, and im sure many of the main countries would be questioning why there mizukage can still breakdance at age 100 odd (considering theyd know the mizukage must be at least a teenager or older to begin with)
He might have spent years training in the background to get back on everyone, after that battle he mustve been severely pissed off, hence the attack on konoha.
It is true nature manipulations requirement is massive amounts of chakra, but i do believe space/time jutsu also requires quite a heavy amount of chakra.
And maybe his merging with nature is the reason he can live so long??
What i want to know is why he attacked konoha as soon as naruto was born?
Even before the fox was put into him i think naruto was special somehow, and maybe pein knew it, as jiraiyas student, minato and nagato...who knows...
I think pein or madara knew something special about naruto before he got the demon fox put into him.
the problem with mach 5, or mach 50, is its still limited by the laws of shinos bugs, and that they can still detect movement, you need to literally use space/time jutsu or simply be undetectable, them bugs in theory cant detect natural chakra or the aburame clan would all know sage arts.
He tricked shinos bugs which is a clue he completely vanishes unbound by time

i think he just shrunk down and it made him look like he was getting farther when he was getting smaller he just shrunk down and popped away

Hmm, that may seems true, but he did vanish in that one part but that's what I'm saying.
He can vanish short distances much like a body flicker, but when it comes to long distances, he flies.
The bugs weren't on him after he flew away so weather or not he flew or teleported Shino never said.

Hed have to fly near the speed of light-if kishi wants to make it scientifically accurate anyway hahaha.

It might be every member thinking too far into things...he might just be kickass at space/time jutsu, were talking about uchiha madara here, with 80+ years of training, i mean the 4th was prodigious, but so was madara, and minato only lived very young, im sure if minato had 80 years of training he would certainly be a HELL of a lot more skilled than his 20 odd year old self.
Also it is stated by itachi that tsukynomi is a space time jutsu where he controls space and time, and kakashis MS is also a space/time jutsu.
It is very apparent that sharingan focuses VERY strongly on space/time jutsus, so it should be no surprise that the most or one of the most skilled uchihas EVER has better space/time jutsu than the 4th after 80 odd years of training.

Lol, yea, maybe.
I still think that he can teleport anywhere up to probably a Football field, but when it comes to distances like kilometers and such, he flies.
But, then again, I wouldn't be surprised if I was proven wrong, like you said the Sharingan focuses mainly genjutsu and space/time so you never know.

Lol, yea, that would seem pretty plausible, but the only thing that disproves that is the debris being kicked up.
Like I've already stated, the debris definitely isn't being kicked up by Zetsu, and it wouldn't be there if he was simply shrinking or being sucked into himself.
And if it isn't debris, then it's lines drawn by Kishi to egsadurate (Can someone show me how to spell that fucking word?) the action in that panel, which in that particular panel would be Madara taking flight...
