Wadden Flats

The Wadden Flats is an intertidal zone on the isthmus in the southwestern corner of the Lightning Mountains, characterized by the low-lying saltmarsh that makes up most of it. As an intertidal zone the area is underwater during high tide and above water during low tide, making construction here a very complicated ordeal. Over the course of many years a series of embankments and dikes have been constructed, creating dry strips of land where roadways and villages have subsequently been built

Coming from #149, Dhaka.

Travelling from Dhaka to the Wadden Flats, Shayde noticed how the ocean grew further and further away the further along he went, as the coastline grew increasingly further away, before slowly, then rapidly approaching once more. It was along this path he read a warning sign informing everyone that the coast here was what's known as an "inter-tidal zone", meaning that when the tide is out, it's above sea level, but submerged when the tide was in. Every day is a school day he thought to himself. But despite the rare sight, he kept his steady pace as he continued North.

Leaving Landmark.
