Forget it. Naruto got too many forms. In fact, It is starting to get to the point that RSM is a fanfic name! Kishi never stated himself that it is RSM!

But when you think about it...

Sasuke = Indra chakra + Hagoromo's yin energy.

Naruto = Ashura's chakra + Hagoromo's yang energy + Kurama's chakra + a piece of every other tailed beast chakra.

Current naruto is stronger. At first glance you would automatically thing vote2 naruto is stronger based on him having the gudou dama, but here me out. Current naruto is in the prime of his life. Remember that vote2 naruto was only 17. Naruto's power has matured/blossomed just like ashura's and hashirama's. We have yet to even see what current naruto can do. The whole thing in gaiden about being Rusty was bullshit to make shin more of a threat. Just like how sasuke wasn't at full power as well. Current naruto may only be utilizing kurama, but that's OK. Kurama was able to match five bijuu with just the yang half. Full kurama will equal or supass what the power of the other bijuu give him. Plus he is their meeting place. Chakra can be distributed to him since he has a piece of them already in him. Who knows he prolly even knows mokuton now. It would only make sense.

How is that RSM? He has no Gudoudamas, his hair doesn't spike, he has no black torso, and his entire body is glowing.

That looks more like KCM.

None of what you listed is the deciding factor for RSM. The kyubi+sage eyes with no pigmentation is. Naruto, when he first fought Madara, had nothing but those eyes, yet is treated as RSM in the databook.

From what I can make out of the main body of text, it says that this is a technique that allows the user to quickly grasp the nature of Chakra with the skill of a well-studied, highly sensitive master. It also seems to have a bunch of philosophical stuff about the Sage of Six Paths which is hard to make out because I can only read about half of it.

At this point in time, anybody arguing that Naruto is not using RSM is arguing against the established classification for RSM.
