Wasn't that fan made by the Sage and they all were born with two chakra natures bloodline trait but they all have fire but you are right the tech that Itachi used on Kabato for example

Hmm not that i know of. Fan is a representation of only Madara. Also, the bloodline traits don't really matter that much in this case. Where the gap in power and skills is obvious.

Though i must pose the question if the Sage's brother had Mokuton... which i doubt though. However, maybe just maybe he was the first Sage mode user.

Just to clarify for people, Kishimoto is one of the most ambiguous mangaka's when it comes to his original Japanese script. I don't have the exact quote here with me and I'm complacent to find it (it was posted in another thread) but the original Japanese Kanji literally was "Into self". Meaning it was all up to interpretation. Viz took one route, and MP/MS took the other.

Are you suggesting that, It can go either way?...

Sadly no. Viz is the official translation. Any translation done except by them is irrelevant. Meaning the translations fans are trying to do are irrelevant.

VIZ has to stay by the canon, MS/MP don't. It might be ambiguous to us.. but for the people i know who read it in Japanese... its really not..

Your explanation would have been good mate, if only if Viz wasn't the sole canon translator.

There was a thread were someone researched it saying it was some kind of spiritual barrier or something like that to make a holy territory
Thought so. I'll search for it later.

Yes, the rope is a Shinewama, tie it around objects and it becomes a Yorishiro which invites the Kami into the object, if a person is the medium of Yorishiro it's called Yorimashi.
I see. Kishi is pretty much ingenious when it comes to incorporating Japanese religion/mythology.
