So, I was thinking about the phrase "ART IS AN EXPLOSION !!" and it actually started making sense. Deidara sees art as something that should come and go in a flash so that it doesn't have time to become stale. Similar to explosions. Sasori however thinks true art should last forever to be cherished and admired for all eternity. Like his puppets. I personally side with Deidara on his viewpoint on art. Every year on the Fourth of July, I go to see fireworks. Theres a reason I take time out of my life to see the same thing, over and over again, every year. Theres something amazing about art that only shows itself once a year. I'm pretty sure if firework shows were done everyday, I'd go a few times and probably never again. After a while it just gets stale. For example, think of your avatar. Most of you i'm pretty sure change it somewhere between weekly to monthly. This is because, as I stated earlier, no matter how nice something may be, see it too often and you'll get tired of it. Nonetheless, I've rambled on too much. What do you guys think ? Should art come and go in a flash, or should it be eternal ? Where do you stand on the Deidara V.S. Sasori argument?

Honestly, this is kind of a picture perfect thread. You backed up your opinion with valid points. Before this, I would have said Sasori, but you persuaded me to go with you and Deidara.

So it's kinda like, Deidara's are would be something like Fireworks.
Yet, Sasori's are would be something like... The Mona Lisa. Something that lasts forever.

It depends for me... I like making art (such as drawings or whatever) that last pretty much a long time. That way I can look at it and admire it. But I would also like, cherishing something that only comes a few times a year, or whatever.

Hmm I like deidara point on art being an explosion, but Sasori point should end up with the superior art form. An eternal art to be cherished or a magnificent art only seen once.

You have a good point, but I still have to give this to Sasori. His art is truly beautiful, but not because of the physical. It's beautiful because of what it means. Sasori's parents died in war when he was very young. He waited for his parents to return. Years and years, but they never did.
This had a huge impact on Sasori, he wants to be eternal and create eternity, the thing his parents weren't.
Because of the meaning it has to Sasori, I believe his art is better.

There exists art that never gets stale even with centuries passing through.
I agree that most of art gets stale with time but that pretty much applies to everything in life.

There are special cases for all.

Great thread. I have to side with Sasori though, something that can stand against time as a magnificent work of art beats fireworks for me haha. There is something captivating about seeing art from 1000 years ago. Fireworks are beautiful, but pale in comparison to something such as the statue of David, or Tut's sarco****us, ya know?

Edit: cant believe that I can't say sarcop.h.a.g.us lol.

I like Sasori's.

Like you said. Art that is an explosion can go stale after a while.

Art that is meant to last can never go stale. No matter how often I look at Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel or look out into a beautiful scenery of a meadow with a sunset in the horizon. It will never be stale.

Eternal beauty is perfection.
