Veskal’s Exchange is similar to a Marketplace; it is a place of trade and commerce, but on a lawless level. It is akin to a black market of sorts, a place where less than reputable traders, merchants, cultists, and other shady characters come to do business and mingle. Like the vast majority of Tobusekai, Veskal’s Exchange is not protected by the laws that a normal marketplace enjoys. It is a cutthroat market, where people frequently come and die with their wares and goods.
Recently, a faction led by a man named the Spider has come to dominate Veskal’s Exchange, something that has been unprecedented in all its history. His path to domination is shrouded in mystery; many credit it toward the powerful coalition he built in the wake of the Freehold’s demise. But other skeptics suspect something much more sinister behind his rise to power. In the wake of Phetra’s sacking of Last Bastion the Spider has offered his hand to help humanity fight back the Ruler of the Underworld. But, like any industrious merchant, his goods and services come at great cost.
To purchase the Spider's wares or request services one simply come to Veskal's Exchange, post their desired modification or goods, and an accurate accounting of one's Ryo. This will be approved or denied by a Ninja World Moderator. Biographies do not need to be updated with these modifications for them to take effect, needing only an approval note. Be sure to check his shop often because you might find something you like, as items will rotate in and out!

The Spider's Wares and Services:
Thermal Vision Enhancement – 3,500 Ryo
A surgical enhancement made to the eyes; it allows for the passive activation and deactivation of a Doujutsu-like skill that enables the user to see in thermal vision. Targets shrouded in mist, darkness, or other physically obstructing sites (aside from solid objects), can now be seen clearly as a highlighted red target. The rest of the user’s vision becomes a dark grey. Lasts for two arcs.
Enhanced Thermal Vision – 4,500 Ryo
Enhanced version of its predecessor; enables the user to gain 3x tracking capability. Lasts for two arcs.
Nightvision – 2,000 Ryo
A surgical enhancement made to the eyes; it allows for passive activation of a Doujutsu-like skill that enables the user to see in the dark, illuminating their surroundings in green. Its enhanced version allows for 3x tracking capability, costing an additional 2,000 Ryo. Lasts for two arcs.
Air Filtration Modification – 6,500 Ryo
A surgical enhancement made to the nose, allowing for passive purification of air. This modification filters out lower tier poisons, making the user immune to air-based poisons. The higher quality air allows the user to move at 2x their base speed passively. Lasts for two arcs.
Harmonic Oscillation – 15,000 Ryo
A surgical enhancement that causes oscillation in one’s Chakra Circulatory System. In other words, this surgery allows for one’s chakra to perform in a wave function. In the first turn of battle the user’s Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Bukijutsu are increased by 5 damage. This increases by 5 each turn thereafter, until it maximizes at 30 increased damage. In the following turn the user’s damage will decrease by 5 until it reaches a minimum of five. This pattern then repeats indefinitely. When this modification is purchased it is mandatory in the user’s boosts, meaning it will permanently assume one of the user’s boosts. Once every five turns the user is able to maximize the oscillation, achieved by sealing an enemy’s techniques. This allows the user to bypass the harmonic oscillation and achieve 30 increased damage in the turn following the sealing. This lasts for a single turn and then the oscillation is reverted back to 5 increased damage. Lasts for two arcs.
