Ok this really bugging me I've heard a few people say that Minato mastered sage mode and that it said that in manga but then I've heard from most people that he didn't and that it doesn't say that in the manga and I myself don't remember ever reading that in the manga so I'm asking you guys to clear this up for me please can someone tell me for sure he didn't master sage mode because if he did then my opinion on his level of strenght totally changes because sage mode combined with is speed equals him being the strongest ninja in the manga and kinda makes it harder for Naruto to surpass him.

It's unknown of if he did or not. Some people assume he did but there is no clear proof. I think it's from when ma and pa said naruto surpassed j-man and minato. But really that isn't to much proof. :\ All he had was toad summons that was know of that was frog affinity.
NO! he did not have sage mode, just because he summoned frogs does not mean he had to be a sage, NARUTO summoned frogs when he was 13 or 14. they never indicated minato was a sage also, if they do, show me the chapter

Without proof of Minato mastering Sage Mode, it's assumed that he can't use Sage Mode, and there is not cannon proof, even though he was a master of the Toad summonings; to such a degree that he actually got along with Gamabunta (I'm not sure if Jiraiya legit got along with him).

Naruto is the ONLY PERSON to ever MASTER sage mode, meaning he doesnt need ma and pa to fuse with him to gather nature energy and he is the only person to be able to fully resist the frog petrification(THATS WHAT THE WORD "MASTERED"means in "MASTERED SAGE MODE) , he can do all that by himself, now ill look through the manga chapters but im pretty sure when ma and pa are training naruto to use sage mode, its stated that minato also tried to learn sage mode, but he never MASTERED it ====HOWEVERRRRR=== jiraiya never mastered sage mode either YET he could use sage mode, so don't be quick to rule out that minato could also use sage mode. mastered or not its the same thing.
