Venom Getting a Spin-Off Movie?

this rumor is just too good to pass up. I really doubt that it's true (but I would be happy to be proven wrong), but at least it's a good one to discuss. IESB is reporting that Venom from the Spider-Man universe is getting his own spin-off stand alone movie. The only thing that's officially reported is that they've "confirmed that 'the studio' has met recently with several 'A list writers' about a spin-off film." As to which studio or even any more details than that, there is nothing, which makes me think this whole rumor isn't very sound. Know before you even read on that i am not trying to claim that this is true, but i am just discussing it simply for fun. tell me what u guys think about it :no_ignore:

well i hated the porrayal of venom in the third movie was nothing like the comic character. basicly teaming venom with sandman seemed really out of place cause venom likes to intimidate spiderman on his own. and basicly why did he to talk with his human face can't talk with his symbiote face that would have been better. was disapointing. however a spin off could be interesting if they use the lethal protector story line from the comics.

personally think that this is a silly idea, it would be okay if it was a whole spidey movie with venom as the bad guy.

But a whole movie from venoms point of view????

yea, it would be pretty lame to do it....not saying that it would make some money, and it probably would, cuz today everything with state of the art technology wins the audience...

Ugh, I would not like to see this movie... it would likely be something similar to "Xmen Origins: Wolverine", which I personally consider to be one of the most poorly crafted pieces of "cinema" that I've ever had the displeasure to sit through... but that's just me

But, if they make that movie, I'll probably end up going to see it anyway... Just because it's playing.
