Setting: House of the abandoned
Characters: Izuma, Satan, Izuma's Dad, Izuma's mom
New Characters:
Mr Fujima- the school teacher(plays an important role later on)
Hideko- a bully around the foster home
Ichiyo- a frail boy the same age as Izuma
School Of Hard Knocks
Life at the foster home is pretty routine for everyone there. You wake up, you eat, then you go to school. After that your'e on your own. An alarm clock goes off. Beep Beep Beep! Startled by the annoying sound Izuma breaks the alarm clock. Then attempts to go back to sleep. Drip Drip Drip, water seeping out of the ceiling. The drops of water hit rin's face and he flips out. Frantically flinging his hands and feet. he then falls out of bed. Izuma gets up then walks over to the window. He looks outside to see everyone dressed and ready for school.
Izuma: S*** i over slept again!
Izuma in a huried manor rushes to the bathroombrushes teeth and puts deodorant on. He quickly puts some jeans on and a dirty uniform shirt and rushes outside. Once outside he is greeted by 20 sad faces and one furious teacher.
Mr Fujima: I see your on time again... said in a sarcastic manor
Izuma: piss of old man!
The man ignores the last comment and proceeds to take the children to school. The school is run by the foster home and is only for the foster children. Mr Fujima leads the children up the street and into the forest, in the forest is a run down beat up, abandoned building. They all walk in and begin there studies. After about 3 hours it is time for the students lunch break. Izuma and the others head for the cafeteria. While standing in line for lunch, Izuma notices a slight commotion at the front of the line. Izumo scurries to the front. Ichiyo after getting his lunch bumps into hideko on accident. Due to this slight contact Hideko's lunch is knocked out of his hands and onto the floor. Hideko retaliates the only way he knows how, with violence. He turns around and back hands Ichiyo. Ichiyo falls to the ground. Izuma rushes to the front and tries to help him up.
Izuma: are you alright?
Ichiyo: ...... he smirks at him.
Before Ichiyo could respond Hideko tries to punch Izuma in the back of the head. Izuma catches his fist
Izuma: i wouldn't do that if i were you.
Hideko: and who do you think you are?
Izuma: if you don't leave now my name will be ouch
Hideko: Ouch? said confused
Izuma turns around and quickly kicks Hideko in the head.
Hideko: while on the floor, "Ouch"
Izuma: now you get it
Izuma takes an apple from the cafeteria and returns back to his classroom. Class has started by now and Mr Fujima is giving a lecture on life energy.
Mr Fujima: Life energy is the the foundation for all natural life.Everything on the planet has life energy. In order to become strong in this world you need to learn how to learn and eventually control this energy. There are 5 basic nature affinities to your life energy. Fire, Water, Lightning, Earth, and Wind. Everyone starts off with one. But through extensive training and real life experiences. One can master all of the affinities and their respective branches.
Hideko walks into the classroom, still bruised and baffled by the fact that the bully was bested. he acknowledges Mr Fujima then smirks at Izuma with an intimidating face. Mr. Fujima then continues with his lecture.
Mr. Fujima: As you all know there was a war 10 years ago between angels and demons. The battle was won by the angels with the assist from the gods. After the war there was a time of peace where the gods and the humans lived together. While the gods were on Earth a few of them mated with the us humans and had offspring. There offspring was and is now considered a demi god. Demi being their human half, i.e emotions, goals, and all natural human traits. And then their god half, From there respective god parents, Demi gods were known to have above average life energy and no only do they have control over their basic nature affinity but all of them.
Mr. Fujima: I am going to test all of you to see what your nature type is...
Mr Fujima pulls a basket of apples from under his desk.
Mr. Fujima: now everyone take an apple and focus your life energy onto this apple, one at a time please.
The first student approaches the desk and focuses her energy. The apple dries out.
Mr Fujima: Fire, next!
Another student waks up to the desk. He focuses, the apple disperses into multiple pieces.
Mr. Fujima: Wind, next!
The next student does the same, the apple starts to drip water and become cold.
Mr. Fujima: water, next!
Ichiyo approaches the desk, he focuses his energy on the apple. The apple changes from a circle to a sqaure and it becomes rock solid
Mr Fujima: Earth interesting, next!
Hideko then approaches the desk he takes and apple and begins to focus. The Apple explodes!
Mr. Fujima: well done Lightning, just like me. Next!
Izuma repeats the pattern everyone did. He is the last one so all eyes are on him. He takes an apple, he then begins to focus his Life Energy on the apple. The apple remains the same. The class bursts out in laughter
Mr Fujima: thinks to himself, i would have never guessed it would be you...."Class dismissed"
Everyone leaves the classroom. But Mr. Fujima keeps Izuma after. Mr Fujima checks Izuma's hands. His hands were very hot, his fingers were very soft, his palms were sweating, his knuckles were dense, and his hairs on his hands were sticking up.
Mr Fujima: you may go now
Confused by that random event Izuma walks out and heads to his room.
