apparently, Piccolo is one of Akira's favorite characters and he wanted piccolo to get the Majin transformation to be Goku's rival again but his editor basically changed it to vegeta because the fans liked him better and were calling for a rematch between Goku and vegeta. I think that's why he's salty

Supposedly he wanted Vegeta to die permanently during the cell saga. But to much fan interest so he tried making him a d*ck so he could kill him off but it didn't work. His fans kept growing.

Did he somewhere officially say that he hates Vegeta?
