if minato was so great,he must've had some special bloodline......

Yes its true dat not much is known about Uzumaki Clan. Naruto is son of Minato Namikaze of Konoha and Kushina Uzumaki of former Whirlpool country(former implies dat d country is no more. But I strongly believe dat Hidden Mist is renamed is former Whirlpool country, Manga has given some hints to this but not explicitly stated.). Minato was the most feared ninja of konoha so it is natural dat he will have many enemies so just to protect him from those enemies he was given this name Uzumaki to conceal his true identity. And if Naruto would have known who he truly is he would not have been much diffrent than Sasuke.

this is waht i think: ok do u ee how wen naruto goes anywhere to help people out or o do summin, he always says his hole name? when minato was talkin to naruto, he told him that if people knew that minato was his father, people would be after him all the time. so thats why i think he took his mothers last name......on another note...their still should he a uzumaki clan, like, who was kushina's parents? lol

Naruto didn't even know his parents!!! I'm sure he would take his fathers surname if he knew... but he didn't know so as ordered he had taken his mothers surname...
BUT WHAT'S FUNNY is that there is nothing much known even about namikazes(4th hokages) clan...why's that???

that's not so strange, we basicly only know the history of the Uchiha clan, the whole others clan are in mistery (except a few like Hyuuga etc..) <.<, still i am curious about Namikazes i guess they use toads in fight's like 4th had gamabunta i dunno

Just because someone is a genius, doesn't mean that they have a bloodline ability or something. Maybe Minato was just really smart and a genius at being a ninja.

first off,namikazes dind have toad powers.minato and naruto had toad powers because of jiraiya,jiraiyas clan was controlled by some great guy who could turn into a frog

Namikaze Naruto. It has a nice ring to it. ^.^ The Third ordered that no one spoke about the attack. I think to protect him from enemies, and gossip Naruto was given Kushina's surname.
