Now I'm done on the second chapter!
Hmmm... wow, that's quite a cliff-hanger xd. I haven't read chapter 3 so I'm guessing he's not gonna kill Dante, coz he's a main supporting protagonist? Ending his life too soon wouldn't be an option. lol. Anyway, I need to read the next chapter to actually find out what's gonna happen.
Here are my thoughts:
Hmmm...In Greek mythology, Hydra are serpent-like creatures which originally has seven heads. The head doubles should you cut one of which. Perhaps, you're basing it the Hydra character in the mythology, though the hydra sounded like a group (like akatsuki) more than an entity.
The tech's called fatal hydra fang, which is also a reference to the physical trait of the creature, albeit Cho himself looked like a monkey which is a major depiction of what-it-seems-like the protagonists--Space Monkeys. The lightning element, on the other hand, as well as the description on how the tech's executed was more like a sheer resemblance of Zeus' lightning rod (also a Greek Mythological character, the god of the Olympus).
Generally, it seems interesting atm. The pace (story) is normal which is typical that of a manga. Hmmm, I have a slightly more advanced idea of the iPad though.
Why not make it an something that functions bec of some "advanced eye (eyeball and blinking) movement detection technology + motor skill sensory (bodily movements that can separate the "computer command" from other non-computer command related stuf and involuntary reflexes) with adaptable voice [command] integration" sort?
That's gonna be cooler, with the addition of high definition holographic imaging. lolol. My creative juices are in the works right now. xd
