I knew a lot of people disliked Usopp but come on. I wasn't aware you guys only liked "powerful" people.

Without Usopp this show would have a different outcome, He got them the Merry so without him they would have been 3 people in a dinghy. He was the only person repairing the Merry, so without his minor repair abilities the Merry never would have made it back from Skypeia IF it even made it. He's their engineer and without him Nami wouldn't have a weapon like she does, plus he has bags and bags of dials.

Usopp may be a coward but he's not weak, now Nami, she's a weak coward(unless something seriously changes after they get Robin(That's as far as I've gotten the cp9 part))

I disliked him for a while around the Water Seven/CP9 arc because he was a bit of a douche to Luffy about the Going Merry but aside from that he is one cool guy.

Pretty much this.

Ussop is a character that has courage...he's a coward, but when he has to he pulls through. I love Ussop for his comic relief and his hardcore sniping when it comes.

He's deffinatly had better character development compared to my favorite (Robin)....as she's not being doing much or trying hard pretty much since Ennis Lobby.....personally dissapointing, but eh...its whatever.

Actually that's what Usopp's journey is about. He used to make up all those stories to make himself look cool but then he actually wants those things to happen, so that he would not be lying anymore. That's the goal of his journey to grow from a pitiful weakling relying on lies to a brave warrior of the seas who keeps his word.

For example if before timeskip he would have said that he beat a huge horned fish that could destroy an iron bridge and warship in one shot it would have been a lie. But he actually did it just recently.
