Maybe it's spoiler for you, but yeah Isshin is Shiba. He is former captain of 10th division, he defected 20 years ago and lose his power for Masaki's life sake.

there is so much we don't know about both of their abilities. i think isshin is stronger than urahara, but urahara has great intelligence coupled with high level kido. who knows?

frankly kisuke has the edge but isshin is from one of the four noble clans which have very high spiritual pressure.
if the fight drags on i give it to isshin if kisuke can go all out from the get go and suprise isshin with his knowledge then kisuke wins as he was a captain before isshin was shown as captain.

I don't believe this is debatable, as both have't shown their full power. Both have unseen Bankai, they have both been shown fighting in groups (Isshin was only seen fighting that Arrancar very briefly and Urahara wasn't taking Yammy seriously).

1. It was never stated that if you are noble you are captain level material. You have to be strong and to have lidership abilities.
2. Well, not really, Shiba is not noble anymore and Kuchiki family is more noble than other noble families.

we already know that ichigo can outclass most of the captains in soul society and when i meant ichigo can become captain i didn't mean that he can become captain because he is a noble but it is a plus to be born as a noble and it makes ur path more easy than enter as an outsider don't you think????
