Background Info.
History:
Not much is known about Darui's past. It is safe to assume that the Third Raikage was his mentor somehow, as Darui was taught in the art of Black Lightning by him. He is introduced for the first time when he and C were the Raikage's bodyguards to the Kage Summit. He steps in to defend the Raikage when he loses his cool and smashes the table at the meeting. He fought Suigetsu when the Raikage was engaging combat with Sasuke and Juugo. He eventually defeats Suigetsu by imbuing his sword with lightning, hitting Suigetsu's weak spot.
After this, he follows the Raikage to where Bee fought the Kisame Zetsu Clone. He saves Bee here, who's legs would have been cut off by Kisame. After the Raikage defeats Kisame, they return to Kumogakure.
During the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Darui is put in charge of the First Division. He took upon him the task of heading to the "West Coast of the Land of Lightning" and defending this area from nautical invasion.
Here we find him using a Black lightning attack for the first time, killing scores of Zetsus and immobilizing others. After a time in battle, he is confronted by the brother Ginkaku and Kinkaku. He first defeats Ginkaku, using their own tricks against them, and eventually Kinkaku with the help of Ino-Shika-Cho.
