There's just one thing that worries me: people can be pressured and manipulated into 'recognising' authenticity even when its not there. In that way, even the very idea of authenticity is weaponised in a 'us vs them' kind of way, as seen with the popularity of the saying: only real recognise real, to passively aggressively attack those who don't support/agree with a person, as tho there is something wrong with them instead of the person not having a perfect delivery/product.

I recently read it writ that wrinkles are inevitable, so one should insure that their wrinkles are wrinkles worth having, that they should insure that the process of acquiring them is a mark of character - wrinkles to be proud of. Not to blow my own horn, but i consider this a wrinkle worth acquiring.
I like to be thorough
If your advise was a general rule of thumb, maybe with a layer of specific context which need not be expressed, then i think i get it. So what then? Allow me to explain. Its like how the fight against animal abuse could also leave a lot of people without jobs coz . . . McDonalds beef, Sea World orcas, Armani leather etc. That doesn't mean we should allow animal abuse, but to avoid a flipside that is just as harmful, we should consider all possibilities when working on a solution. In light of this, which applies to almost everything, i like to be thorough. I like to consider all possibilities. The aim being to find/create a solution which works as perfectly as possible, with the least possibility for the ones who are trying to do good to end up mistakenly doing damage. I also come from a place where something that was a legitimate, historically proven concern was overstated and in turn used/worked to create an opposite extreme that not only did as much damage as was originally feared, but it didn't even solve the initial concern. Not only, but because of the damage done, most people won't even consider the idea that a solution requires some balanced middle ground because the idea of even moving a single step in some directions is too scary. Maybe its that history within me, but i like to be thorough.
So that's why i made that ''reach". Its definitely a distance away from your original idea, but as long as its connected, i figure its worth exploring for the sake of thoroughness and 'holisticness'.
Its actually why i made this thread, partly. All advise is good and useful (otherwise it wouldn't exist, as per Ayn Rand), but the slightest imperfection can, over time, become a great source of trouble. I think it was some Japanese samurai, Miyamoto or something, who said that the slight crack of today can become a great chasm tomorrow.

If you look at the earth as a living organism, (which it is obv) you could see every human being as a cancer cell.
Neutralize this fact for yourself by diving into permaculture and becoming an ethical vegan.
Don't bother looking for signs to decide what you'll do. That's just flipping a coin because you're too unwillingness to think. You end up doing nothing if you can't find a sign and miserable if it's the wrong one.

But what about reactionary scenarios? As in, sometimes you have to check which direction the tornado will go before you decide which direction you'll run. Isnt that how this omenistic 'sign checking' started in the first place?
Your reasoning alone is ok, but there are other factors you're not accounting for.
Think: why/how does anything come to exist . . .

Not necessarily, although it could be said that all scenarios are forced upon people.
Just that in interacting with the environment, it doesnt seem wise to react without accounting for what it has to 'say'. I also dont like omenisms (including astro-whatnots etc), but cant they be explained as simply looking to the environment for patterns?
Of course, even if they can be defined thusly, there are a few other factors at play which almost always make them a terrible idea/method to work with, but in terms of how they work, is it not reasonable/understandable?
