Kaoru immediately ran to the room Itachi had procured for her and himself and reported all that had happened. A lot of screaming, shouting, panic on her part forced Itachi to use his absolute nicest voice to calm her down.
A few minutes after, Cho and Katsura arrived. Itachi had ordered them to scout the village and locate Kiyosato before going to the Inn, an assignment which they completed with a bit of trouble as their enemy masked his scent well. Upon their arrival at the Inn, they checked into a room just two doors from their Commander's and then informed him of Kiyosato's location. They had found the traitor at the Raikage's Office Building. Itachi briefed them on what happened to Kaoru then informed all three that their plans had not changed. They would still hunt and capture Kiyosato in spite of their new enemy's threat.
Katsura: Are you sure about this, Itachi-taichou?
Itachi: Are you afraid, Katsura?
Cho: With someone out there that can blow our cover, the undercover mission has already failed. We should just go back to Konoha. If Kumo gets us, we'll be killed and worse, they'll wage war against Konoha over this and our purpose will be defeated.
Itachi: If she wanted to expose she would have. Warning us means she doesn't want us to be found. She also said that our leaving will benefit Konoha. Have you figured it out?
Katsura: Figured what out?
A silence followed which only made Katsura and the others more curious. Itachi said nothing, he only smiled.
Itachi: Never mind.
Kaoru: Eh, you holding out on us?
Itachi: It's only my theory anyway. We'll meet at 8 o'clock tonight and hunt Kiyosato. Until then, Kaoru use your birds to survey to Raikage's building. Find any holes we can use infiltrate and get to our target. A direct confrontation with Kumogakure ninja will mean certain death for us and will spell trouble for Konoha.
Kaoru: Alright.
Kaoru did as she was ordered and utilised her bird summons to scout the Raikage's office, paying close attention to how the guards where stationed, meticulously searching for any blind spots in their defences through which her team could slip in. Her endeavour was, all in all, successful as the data she gathered allowed Itachi come up with a infiltration plan and even earned her a compliment from the Commander, who was not usually free with his words.
All that was left was to wait until it was time. An easy task, to all but the ever restless Kaoru. Her incessant babbling kept Itachi's brow furrowed in annoyance all day. He regretted choosing her as his partner. At some point, he put her to sleep with a genjutsu to shut her up so he could read. This only made things worse as she managed to dispel it in only a few seconds, then filled his ears with insults and all kinds of names at extreme volumes. He was left impressed that she actually managed to break through his genjutsu, and further annoyed by the increase in her babbling. He managed to make it until it was time for them to go into action, though he was certain he was now deaf in one ear.
At exactly 8 o'clock, the ANBU team, each one unmasked but with their masks hanging by the sides of their faces, as silent as the moonlit night around them, headed towards the office of the leader of Kumogakure. It was only a short distance away from the Inn. With every step they took, every silent leap from one building to another, each one knew he or she was getting closer the greatest danger they had ever faced with the only thing standing between them and certain death being their plan.
They landed on the roof of the building without making the slightest sound. Itachi signalled Kaoru with a glare and she nodded. She immediately formed a number of hand seals and summoned three birds. She then weaved a large number of hand seals then collapsed, Cho caught her to break her fall. The birds flapped their wings and took off. They flew to a group of guards positioned on the roof as well, just a few feet from the well hidden ANBU squad . The birds landed on the shoulders of the trio of guards, one on each guard then the birds flew away and disappeared completely, leaving only small white clouds of smoke that quickly faded away. The eyes of the trio widened in shock and after standing still for a moment, each guard flashed the other a grin and quietly walked over to the ANBU team's location.
Guard 1: My Touch Transfer technique is awesome isn't it?
Katsura: Yeah, if only it was permanent. A middle aged fat-ass bodyguard of Kumo....certainly more preferable to your real face, Kaoru.
All three guards scowled at Katsura's teasing. The young man then flashed a smile which only made their faces twist even more and one of them took a swing at Katsura who dodged expertly.
Itachi: Stop it, Katsura, Kaoru.
Guard 2: Alright. Follow me.
Cho carried Kaoru's body and, along with Itachi and Katsura, he followed the Kumogakure bodyguards, who were now possessed by Kaoru, as they led them inside the building. Pathways, carefully chosen as directed by the guards as well as Cho's keen sense of smell, were taken in order to avoid any sort of confrontation as the team proceeded deeper and deeper into enemy territory.
Guard 1: We should be at Kiyosato's room after the next two turns.
Cho: Its true. His scent is closer and closer.
Itachi: Get ready.
Their footsteps became slower as they made their approach towards the next turn. Cho's eyes became widened with shock and he suddenly motioned with his right hand for everyone to stop. Itachi glanced over to him and immediately saw the troubled look on his face.
Itachi: What's wrong?
Cho: A new scent....there's someone there. Just appeared out of nowhere.
Guard 1: How...how is this possible?

Itachi took a deep breath, activated his Sharingan and walked forward, making a curve at the turn ahead as he drew his blade and wore his ANBU mask. He set his eyes on pale-skinned female individual who stood a small distance away from him in a feminine and somewhat seductive pose. She was dressed in a tight fitting black long sleeved shirt along with a very revealing black skirt, black gloves and black sandals. When he spotted a shuriken holster tied to her right leg and a sword sheathed at her left waist, he knew at once she was a ninja. He shifted his gaze to her face, trying to make eye contact and end this quickly with his Sharingan genjutsu. He was unsuccessful as her ocean blue eyes did not met with his, they were focused on his sword instead, the blade was pointed directly at her face. Both ninjas continue to silently stare at each other with identical stoic expressions.
Yuki: There's no need for a mask, Itachi. I know its you.
Itachi: You were staring at me earlier today. Who are you? Why do you want us to let Kiyosato go?
Yuki: I can tell you my name is Yuki but that's all.

A loud screech of metal was heard as Itachi parried the attack with his blade and pushed her back.
The person who approached speedily from behind was already upon them at this point and it was clear that his target was Cho who was defenseless due to being burdened with Kaoru's unconscious body. Katsura immediately stepped in front of his Inuzuka comrade and weaved a number of hand seals.
Katsura: Crimson Veil Technique!
A net, which looked like it was woven with scarlet threads, appeared in front of the ANBU ninja and shot towards the approaching enemy. The opponent, a man who wore a long sleeved russet-coloured coat that covered most of his body and a light brown rice maker's hat which obscured most of his face, revealed a blade in his arm which gleaned due to the moonlight that crept into the hallway through an open window. Sparks of electricity were heard as the blade became coated in lightning, then he tore the approaching net into pieces in an instant.
Katsura: *thinking* He's fast!
Katsura caught the enemy's blade with his own in order to protect Cho. The Inuzuka growled as he watched Katsura's sword being slowly drilled into by crackling lightning coated blade their opponent possessed. He could deduce from the differing facial expressions of Katsura and the man with the long sleeved coat that Katsura was barely keeping his sword up.
Cho: Katsura!
Katsura, even while being slowly overwhelmed by the immense strength of their new opponent, managed to flash a wide grin. He applied more force on his sword, his upper teeth grinding against his lower teeth as he summoned every bit of strength in his muscles, pushing his opponent's blade back a few inches.
Katsura: Don't worry about me, Cho.
Meanwhile Itachi continued a kenjutsu battle with his female opponent while assisted by the three bodyguards Kaoru took control of earlier. No one seemed to be able to land a hit on the other. She expertly avoided Itachi's blade as well as his eyes. Also, the possessed Kumo bodyguards couldn't even touch her.
She charged at Itachi, attacking with her sword in her left hand. The Uchiha read her movements with scarlet eyes and blocked the attack with the arm guard his ANBU uniform offered. He swung his arm upwards, sending hers in the same direction, leaving her open, then he went in for an attack with his blade. She released the hilt of the sword, allowing it to free fall behind her, then caught the handle with her right hand before it reached the ground and used the weapon to block Itachi's sword. She launched her left arm forward in an effort to grab Itachi's throat but the Uchiha shifted backwards in time to avoid the attack. The Kumo bodyguards under Kaoru's technique attacked her from the left and the right as well as from above but she leaped backwards before they came close.
Guard 1: Damn, I need to touch her in other to use the Yamanaka Mind Transfer technique.
Itachi: Keep trying. We have to end this as quickly as possible.
Itachi unleashed a barrage of shuriken on his opponent who responded by placing her sword back in its sheath then suddenly releasing the weapon from its cage at blinding speed. The arc of blade swept the incoming weapons aside with a sudden gust of wind which disappeared as quickly as it appeared.
Guard 2: Wow, she was so fast that she displaced the shuriken with a single swipe of her blade.
Itachi: No, it wasn't pure speed, it was a Wind Release technique. She's a Wind type.
Yuki: You saw the chakra with your Sharingan? Well, how do you like my Wind Release: Battojutsu?
Katsura's right leg flung into the air as he attempted a kick to his enemy's face. The opponent leaped backward just in time to avoid taking the hit, though his hat was knocked off his head. Katsura then formed half the tiger seal with his right arm while holding up his sword with his left, causing the shredded pieces of the net he created earlier to leap off the floor and fasten themselves to the enemy's sword.
Katsura: Hmph, you feel for it. Seal!
The blade of the enemy's sword suddenly disappeared, leaving only the hilt then Katsura went in for another attack. The enemy threw the hilt of what was once a sword at Katsura who batted it away with his own sword and continued his charge. The blade of Katsura's sword sunk deeply into the opponent's chest as the sound of flesh being torn into could be heard and it emerged from his back, coated in blood. Katsura's face was stained by the splatter of his enemy's blood and the crimson liquid ran down his face as he grinned. Katsura's eyes widened with shock as he caught a glimpse of a fist approaching his right cheek. He failed to dodge in time and received a direct punch which knocked him down and caused him to drop his sword.
Katsura: How?
The ANBU received a kick to the gut knocking the wind out of him. He looked up to see the opponent he thought he had just killed standing in front of him with an angry look on his face. He took out a kunai from his weapon's pouch but the ninja tool was kicked away from his hand before he could make use of it. His opponent then picked up his own sword in order to finish him off.
Cho: Fang Over Fang!
Cho spun wildly to his comrades rescue and attempted to drill into their opponent from behind. The man tried to block the attack with Katsura's sword but found himself being pushed back and the weapon being quickly destroyed so he side stepped the attack. Cho began to spin slower then then spinning stopped completely as he somersaulted into a battle stance beside Katsura.
Katsura: You abandoned Kaoru?
Cho: Are you alright, Katsura? He used genjutsu to deceive you just now.
Katsura: I'll live. Let's take him down.
