The bulky man called Manji stiffened, lifting his thick and exposed right arm well above his head, fingers twisting fiercely into a fist. The Bakuton user conjured up the greatest of his destructive power into the raised arm, about to unleash the raw devastation upon Kikyo's already damaged barrier, the dome of chakra having been ruthlessly scorched from of the blast of Manji's first attack.
Kikyo grimaced, her eye sunken with dread. “It...it might not hold up against a second hit.”she stuttered nervously, her tone alarmed.
In an instant, Manji's fist swooped downwards, spelling doom for the three Uchiha that were secured by the dome-shaped barrier on which he stood. But his attack failed to connect: His arm seemed to have been swallowed by a small, pitch black portal that had been conjured in the path of his punch.
The hand in question had reemerged from a similar black hole, positioned a few inches before Shinji. The Uchiha hastily chopped off the appendage, glowing with a gratified smirk. Manji tried to drag his arm out of the portal into which it had sunken and succeeded. However, he only managed to liberate the stump left behind after Shinji had had his way with the precarious appendage.
“Damn you Shinji.” Tobirama cursed, the clattering of his deep blue armor echoing softly as a tender breeze lightly buffeted it. An aggravated scowl was ingrained on his features, his crimson pupils narrowing in dissatisfaction. “I'll just have to get serious.”
Manji bounded away from the cracked dome, which had automatically begun to repair itself, though draining some of Kikyo's chakra in order to accomplish this.
Meanwhile, Saigo's pale, cracked fingers ceaselessly generated his signature white-hot flames, the attack directed at the horde of Uchiha who were frantically producing water to negate the scorching danger it posed. Manji leaped over this seemingly perpetual elemental clash, landing gracefully next to his summoner. His large, flabby arm having regenerated, he proceeded to weave a set of hand seals in conjunction with is other hand. The Bakuton user completed the last hand seal and abruptly charged forward, moving with surprising speed despite the weight of his bulk.
The endless streams of white fire vanished as Uchiha Saigo refrained from unleashing the blazing torrents. The revived Uchiha leader then zipped away from the group of Uchiha shinobi just as Manji ran towards them.
Tobirama also began to distance himself from his enemies along with Saigo but Manji pressed on towards them. Upon careful scrutiny, it could be observed that the fat Edo Tensei was slowly increasing in girth as he approached his foes. The steam from Saigo's ealier clash against the water element users, lingered still on the battlefield. Due to the fog, the Uchiha could not percieve the incoming Manji until he was already dangerously close.
He lunged towards them savagely, emerging from the blanket of steam, already having swelled to twice his normal size. Large feet pounded the earth, steadily closing the distance between himself and the group of Uchiha.
“I can see his massive chakra levels. Whatever's he's about to do, it's gonna be big.” said one of the Uchiha, his tone fretful.
“Let's push him back!” suggested another frantically, hands already locked in the Tiger Seal.
“Yeah!”
“Let's do it!”
A group of Uchiha assembled themselves gallantly before the incoming tub of a man, who had now expanded so much that he was almost spherical in shape. They swiftly flew through a number of hand seals before evoking a synchronized dragon shaped fire technique, which was many times their own size.
The flaming conflagration rammed into the bulky, shirtless Bakuton user and wasted no time in ruthlessly eating away at his abundance of flesh. The man bellowed out no screams of pain, after all, his mind had be eroded by his summoner. But suddenly, the severely plump Edo Tensei expanded, the increase in size exponential this time. He was now so massive that he dwarfed the gargantuan Fire technique that had been used against him.
Shinji found his eyes widened in shock at this. “Why is he expan...” he quieted as it suddenly dawned on him; the horror that was about to be unleashed. “ He's going to blow! Everyone get away!”
The plump man was now a massive ball which easily matched the sheer size of any of the Bijuu. Tobirama stood, focused on the battle from a great distance away, eyes wide in excitement and anticipation. “Bakuton no Manji's strongest move. A blast with a radius equal to that of the average Bijuudama's. They have no hope.”
The Uchiha shinobi scampered away like a herd of stampeding wild beasts, each desperately trying to get as far away as possible from the gargantuan sphere which Manji had become. Shinji, Miroku and Kikyo remained motionless, looking pale and defeated, within the confines of the barrier erected by the female amongst them, Sharingan eyes staring intensely at the rounded behemoth before them.
“We probably can't evade.” commented Miroku darkly, his voice quiet. “I can sen--”
“I'm well aware.” Shinji had cut Miroku off, his tone placid, which was remarkable considering their current predicament. “There's only one choice.”
