Goku.
Vegeta.
Gohan.
Buu.
Piccolo.
#17.
#18.
Krillin.
Tien.
Master Roshi.
This seems to be the 10man lineup for universe 7 in the tournament.
This is likely the order of strength of the fighters (Goku and Vegeta can share spot #1 and #2).
I dont know if there are any rules that you have to follow for choosing teammembers,
but if not, the lineup looks to be heavily fan service influenced and they all live on planet earth.
They didnt all originate from planet earth though and funny enough most are not full blooded earthlings.
Goku and Vegeta are Saiyans. Gohan is a half Saiyan/half Earthling.
Buu is somewhat unclear and the previous Supreme Kai is still in him too.
Piccolo is a Namek.
Tien is from the three eyed clan which is said to be an alien race. He is either half earthling or full alien.
Krillin and Master Roshi are the only two full blooded earthlings.
The twins #17 and #18 are androids and therefore part earthling.
Mixed feelings about this lineup.
Hopefully Buu wont fall asleep this time and we finally get to see him fight. I am curious what the reaction will be from other universes who know about Majin buu (the past evil Buu). As the Zamasu and Gowasu knew about Majin Buu in the manga.
Nice to see several Z fighters be relevant again.
Gohan finally back into the ring. Curious to see to what extend he is back to being a martial artist again or if this is just temporarily for the tournament.
However, Master Roshi.
Really Master Roshi?
I could imagine that somewhere in the universe are stronger fighters to take his place.
Someone from freeza's race for example.
The only reasons I can think of for picking Master Roshi is that from what I heard there seem to be teamfights as well.
Not just 1v1.
It could be an advantage if the fighters in your team know each other well.
Other reasons might be things like every team needs to pick an old dude for their team who has been a master with pupils
, or you need to pick fighters from various power ranges or something like that.
Maybe Master Roshi being low powerlvl comes in handy vs a certain fighter who scales the stronger his enemy is or because of some special techniques of his?
With so many new fighters introduced (all those other universes), I do somewhat understand that a new universe 7 fighter is not introduced.
It may also be difficult for the storyline, because what will you do with that fighter afterwards?
Still some new fighter(s) from universe 7 could have been cool.
What are your views on all of this?
