He actually created the evil in Madara. He feared the Uchiha and didn't want then using their MS to destroy the senju. That's understandable but after his brother formed an alliance with them, these fears of his should've subsided. He let his hatred for them get out if control and ended up causing Madara to be what he became. Hashirama, as the big bro, should've told Tobirama to STFU.

You do realize Madara never wanting peace is the reason Uchiha never trusted him. Madara was forced to make peace with Senju and because of that he never had respect from both sides. In the last chapter it even says that No ONE wanted Madara to be a leader so he got butt hurt and turned evil. Its because of his pride and selfish ambition that the village people turned against him. Tobirama just spoke the truth and as we all know THE TRUTH HURTsMadara did accept all for his clan and future of shinobi....he formed village with hashi and even named it so it meant a lot to him...he put all things a side for better future....but he realized that even if he wanted to trust and peace in village senjus will not accept him as his brother wanted...he forgot that his brothers will killed and even IZUNA still he was ready for peace and formed village for clan.and ready to lead...i think he was like hashirama...
Where as Tobirama, He never trusted Uchihas and never had guts to forget the past like madara. He cornered them and give them ill feelings even he know more about sharingan...where are his ideals and he never listen to his brother's ideals...uchihas also want to protect village but there was no trust from tobirama and he even formed the ANBU people above police (uchihas)..here it is clear that he always feared and never put trust on uchihas..

Equal strength? Maybe you missed the panel in the last chapter that showed the Uchia's started to defect cuz they were getting rolled.
Tobirama wasn't preventing Uchia from prospering, he just wasn't as trusting in Madara specifically as Hashi was. Even the other Uchia thought he was off his nut.

Madara wanted peace always since childhood if you have read Manga properly...His clan do not trust him because he want them to leave village and do not trust Hashirama and beware of tobirama...so he was unable to save his clan from tobirama's ideals and so he tried to tell them to leave but no one listen to him...so he failed in saving clan also..one after another failure like his brothers got killed by senjus ..yet he ready for peace and on his back tobirama and other mistreating and ill treated them...truth is all these ....Madara wanted to save clan from tobirama and upcoming events ...when no one hear he chose 2nd meaning of UCHIHA tablet.....Tobirama is not speaking truth ..he just talking bad things and not ready for uchihas in village ...he never did understand what hashirama wanted them to do....so simply he is part of all recent events....truth is this about tobirama who is full of ego and looking for only negative sides of uchihas...so he is somewhere a problem...he had also a hatred problem more than uchihas have...

Right, because harishima couldn't have simply LIED to sasuke. If madara was telling the story, it would be the opposite.
There were certainly a variety of different issues that led the Uchiha for wanting "peace". For all we know they had wanted to stage a coup after they regained their strength, as opposed to Madara who wanted to fight immediately.
