Under these conditions, would Naruto still have reached Kage-level?

They're the only strong ones that WE KNOW OF and the author never dabbled into the others because it was completely irrelevant as only Hashirama and Naruto mattered. The author even wrote Black Zetsu made sure all the trans-migrants reached their peak, ALL OF THEM, so they were all strong as hell, but they're irrelevant to the story which is why they were never mentioned.

no...black zetsu mentioned that he wanted either transmigrant in the attempts of awakening the rinnegan (ie stealing the other transmigrant's chakra)...naruto was ****ING PATHETIC as a shinobi in the beginning...being the reincarnation of asura would not have stopped him from getting killed by zabuza or haku or orochimaru or losing to neji or kiba or gaara or kimimaro, or getting killed by itachi or deidara or kakazu or muu or A or nagato or kisame or obito or madara or kaguya...PLOT is what kept him alive...being asura's reincarnation didnt help him in any damn way...the only thing he recieved being asura's reincarnation was a chance to speak with the sage of six paths

Well, since you changed it so that he'd survive without Kurama in cases where Kurama was needed to survive (Jiraiya's training, vs. Haku, etc) he'd eventually learn Sage Mode as long as he hung around Jiraiya, thus he'd easily be Kage level. Being an Uzumaki and Ashura's reincarnation pretty much cements that he'll have enough chakra to do so, especially when his father who has neither can learn it.

Would Naruto still have reached Kage-level if...

• Sasuke never left
• Naruto was not the Kyuubi's Jinchuriki
• Jiraiya still took interest in Naruto even though he wasn't a Jinchuriki
• Minato and Kushina are still dead
• Any scenarios in the manga/anime in which Kurama saved Naruto's life are changed in some way so that Kurama would not have been necessary

Note that I am not asking whether Naruto would have still become Hokage, just whether he would have still reached the ability level of a Kage.

So what do you think? Is Kurama just too essential to Naruto's abilities? Would Naruto's motivation have been stymied if Sasuke never left the village? Tell me your thoughts.

lol, well no because without the kyuubi naruto would be dead. i don't care what destiny has to say about that lol. but yeah, he'll certainly be kage level, however he wouldn't be the super god kage level that he is now. jiraiya is an extremely slow teacher and the only reason minato and nagato progressed was because they were just rare exceptions. naruto is not lol, at best he'll learn sage mode, but he'll reach his cap far sooner. so unless something tragic happened, i can't see naruto finding the motivation to increase his limit. also, it depends on how much sasuke grows as well. if he stayed in the village, how strong would sasuke be? naruto will compare his feats to sasuke and nothing more.

Look at the filler arc right now, that would be Naruto. Smarter, more versatile and without Kurama you think he wouldn't have learned ftg? Is that not kage level? People saying he would have died without the kyuubi is pure garbage. He wouldn't be a target without kurama nor would jiraiya had pushed him off a cliff
