Under these conditions, would Naruto still have reached Kage-level?

Would Naruto still have reached Kage-level if...

• Sasuke never left
• Naruto was not the Kyuubi's Jinchuriki
• Jiraiya still took interest in Naruto even though he wasn't a Jinchuriki
• Minato and Kushina are still dead
• Any scenarios in the manga/anime in which Kurama saved Naruto's life are changed in some way so that Kurama would not have been necessary

Note that I am not asking whether Naruto would have still become Hokage, just whether he would have still reached the ability level of a Kage.

So what do you think? Is Kurama just too essential to Naruto's abilities? Would Naruto's motivation have been stymied if Sasuke never left the village? Tell me your thoughts.

Yes. His mastery over Kurama had nothing to do with Sasuke at all. It had to do with him needing to win the war. But he did initially tap into that power because the Akatsuki was hunting him. Sasuke and Kurama never had anything to do with each other.

I doubt it. Despite Jiraiya wanting to train him, the fact that he is not a Jinchuriki, means that he will not train to survive and fight them, which means he will be front line fodder like the rest of the K11 when Pain or any other Akatsuki attacks, which further means he will not be sent off for Sage Mode training after Jiraiya dies, he will be in Konoha fighting Pain just the same as everyone else.

But if there was some extraneous circumstance that caused him to learn Sage Mode later, like if he simply took interest in it after Akatsuki was stopped, then yes. He would be Kage level with SM.

Nah. He my boy but if I'm being honest there's just no way. Sage Mode wouldn't be as good for him since his chakra reserves wouldn't be nearly as high without all those years of Kurama's chakra fusing with his own. So it's questionable if he would even be able to master it. With Sasuke still around he would his motivation to work hard and train would still be there but the truth is Kurama was an important part to Naruto's arsenal in many ways. He'd be jonin at best. And that's only because Jiraiya still takes interest in him for being Minato's son

Yes he would be kage level. Him being an uzumaki with very strong chakra and mass reserves would still allow him to learn sage mode. I think he would be stronger, instead of training so much to control kurama he would have learned multiple techniques from jiraiya and eventually ftg. Let's not forget he's ashura reincarnate which means still would've gained rsm

being Asura's reincarnation doesnt mean sh*t...there were others and the only strong ones are Hashirama and Naruto
