itachi's final battle with sasuke is suppose to be his showoff battle, if he still have some trump card he should've showed it to sasuke back then.

but anyway this makes it more exciting, can't wait for the next chapter.

Don't forget that Itachi wasn't going completely out against his brother. He was only fighting hard enough to push Sasuke and make sure that he would be capable of surviving eventually against Madara/Tobi. We have already been shown that Itachi kept some techniques in reserve.
