I still don't think Kabuto and Itachi will fight. Either that, or the fight will be interrupted / Kabuto will run off. Plot has Kabuto staying for a little while longer since we still need to know more about him. And it would be very stupid to have such a long build up for Itachi's return (Planting Koto inside Naruto) just so we can see a few more pages of him loosing to Kabuto again. And he hasn't even really spoken to his brother so I doubt that is the reason Kishi brought him back. But that is just my opinion.

Itachi revealing a new form might be cool.

He doesn't need the power up really, considering he's got the immortality of Edo Tensei on top of his genjutsu abilities, but it'd demonstrate that there's ways to progress besides developing the Rinnegan.

personally i'm torn between the desire to see this new mode, but I hope kishi gives a valid reason to dish it out, he's hasn't been tightfisted with power boosts at all in this war.

I believe that itachi is going to use some secret technique which is going to effectively seal every single remaining person brought back by edo tensei, and i believe it has something to do with his genjutsu, in addition i am also thinking minato will come back, mainly because just like sasuke who is chasing itachi naruto needs to have some sort of SIGNIFICANT distraction which will side track him from his real goals.

Kabuto summons Madara to his side from the battlefield.
Madara questions Itachi about the Uchiha and Itachi reveals that he murdered the lot.
Sasuke butts in.
Sasuke gets impaled with Mokuton, Madara does this just to piss Itachi off.
Itachi has a flashback regarding Shisui.
He starts crying, he opens his eyes and a red light consumes him.
He's holding a red sword.
Kabuto, Madara and the snake go; WTF?!
The end.

Hence the reason i wished i could read japanese. it makes figuring out the veracity of a claim a lot easier.

I had a feeling though considering the official spoilers section has got nothing, in terms of what's coming out.
