Cool as it sounds, the last thing I want to see is another mode. Tsunade just got a new mode, if Itachi suddenly gained one it'll be like Kishi passing out modes like halloween candy.

Did he suddenly forget that he is the greatest genjutsu user in the manga? Why is he not putting Kabuto into a genjutsu as of right now?

Even without knowing how to end IWR, he should figure that putting Kabuto into a genjutsu would be the smart move.

Being so intelligent and tactical, I doubt Itachi would just throw out a genjutsu after Kabuto purposely made a point of suggesting it.

Besides, it's not as if Itachi even needs Kabuto to seal them. Obviously they both have forgotten how he instantly sealed Nagato with the Totsuka blade. No reason he can't hunt down the other Edo summons and do the same.

Im actually sceptical about this mode. From what ive seen people who have revealed modes have lost. Example is oro's true form, jiraiya and sm, kisame. I also believe itachi can win this in base, due to his skill and intellect but this is kishi's fault. He is totally disregarding what makes an elite ninja which is skill and intelligence and is overpowering everybody. I mean look at madara, tobi, naruto, ems sasuke.

So one of the earlier spoilers conveys Itachi using a heightened form for the next chapter's cliffhanger in which he took on some angelic and avian qualities, and thus more obviously resembled the myth that his character is based on: Yatagarasu, the symbol of divine intervention, and "the raven of hell." I was wondering how the forum would feel about this were it true? The last line reminded me of Ulquiorra.

It shouldn't. The only two Edo summons left running wild seem to be Madara and Muu. All the others have been detained by the Alliance forces. As for sealing Madara, none of the Kages have had trouble getting close enough to Madara, so I doubt Itachi would have any greater trouble. He only needs to stab Madara, not actually fight him.

Jiraiya has frog summonings and with this sm gives him frog characteristics.
Oro has snake summonings and with this he has a snake form in his mode.
Same with kisame

Therefore itachi having crow summonings might be something like the tengu
