Wrong, dude. Goku WAS stronger than Frieza the entire time he was SSJ. He held back, because he was such a boyscout, he was trying not to kill Frieza, hoping to change him. He said this to Trunks, when he came back, and was asked why he did not kill Frieza.

No, it's not. Watch the fight again. He displayed his superiour strenght the second Frieza charged a him.
After that, watch his conversation with Trunks.

After sparring with him, Trunks asked how he could stop him, but not Frieza, since Trunks was weaker than Goku, and Trunk killed Frieza with ease.
To which Goku responds with saying that he held back from the beginning, hoping to turn Frieza to the good side.

No just no, Majin Vegeta SSJ2 won against Goku SSJ2, if Goku transformed into SSJ3 than Goku would've won obviously.
And Mystic Gohan and Majin Vegeta are way above SSJ 1 and base Goku
