Germany 2 - 1 Holland
- It's a match well-mastered by Germany. The 2 goals of Gomez and the goal of RVP are world-class.
- Germany were clearly the better team. A good total football in offense and a very disciplined zonal marking. Though, I think, given their superiority, that they were nonchalant. They could easily have put 4-5 goals in, if they kept going. With some bad luck, one or two shots of the Hollanders will have gone it and the Germans would have bit their nails.
- Holland played awfully. Clearly not the team in 2010 but it's as I said after the Denmark match - their players are no more in their form of 2010.
- The way Robben got out was sickening. If the play in the field didn't reflect the lack of cohesion between the Oranje group, then his attitude reflects perfectly their lack of solidarity.
- Well, it's not official yet. But I really don't see Germany go out now and certainly don't see Holland to qualify.
- The way Holland played, I doubt to see them dominate Portugal with 3+ goals. Portugal did a 5 time better match against Germany that what Holland did today. Even if in football, nothing is over till the last second.
