Uchiha's arrogance in Sharingan and inherent skill..by choice; or by nature?

In regards to the topic of discussion... The only (IMO) arrogance Itachi has shown is the arrogance in his ability to do everything alone... which is why he failed. He even admits this.
Thats the only arrogance I believe we can label Itachi with.

This is indeed the only thing that could be seen as arrogance. However even in this case i do not really see it as arrogance, Itachi thought that what he did was right but he later realized that it was not. Does that really mean he's arrogant? In my opinion no as i stated he thought that what he did was right. And even if you could label it as arrogant ( and this is a mere opinion situation so it is allowed) he does admit that he was wrong, that shows that Itachi has learned from his mistake and deals with the consequences.

How was Itachi arrogant? Itachi does have a point, most jutsu is useless against the sharingan since the sharingan user can simply copy it. Orochimaru was going after the sharingan to learn all jutsu, and all of his jutsu that we've seen aren't kekkei genkai, which Itachi can easily copy if he sees it.

Itachi wasn't arrogant, he proved Orochimaru was no match for him and all this without using his MS.

On the contrary, an Uchiha with a mastered Sharingan has the right to brag, because they indisputably have the ultimate kekkei genkai. Their eyes decode ninjutsu, predicts taijutsu, and can instantly cast insanely potent genjutsu, and memorizes and potentially copies anything it sees. The issue is who they are arrogant toward. Madara, Obito, and Itachi have only disrespected ninja that were definitely beneath them and the power in their eyes, while praising ninja that merited compliments. Sasuke, however, has had some calibration issues in assessing his opponents' powers.

With power comes arrogance and maybe also the greed for even greater power. Its nothing special, just look around you in the real world.

Itachi atleast realised at the end that he overestimated himself, he realised that he tryed to do everything on his own (because he thought that he could do it) and failed. But he still did better than anybody else, alone enduring the emotional pain for all these years..cant think of any other character that could have done that.
But well I cant blame him for a bit arrogance, after all he awakened his MS with just 13 if Im not mistaken? Or was he Anbu Leader with 13? He was elite even for Uchiha standards.

Who gives a ****. The Uchiha clan and its members (Itachi and Sasuke mainly) are the only reason why i'm watching Naruto anyways. You could say that it's in their nature but if it's so they have all the reasons for being so. They're the most powerfull clan next to the Senju and their Sharingan allows them to pretty much beat anyone in a 1v1. Sasuke, Madara and Obito might be arrogant because of their power. But Itachi only said the truth to his opponents that they didn't have a chance against him. He's just honost, well aware and confident in his own strength.

Ok....so you have moved from "Itachi wasn't arrogant" to "so what if it's in their nature?"

I agree, it doesn't change anything, they're still badass! I wanted to be sure that arrogance in power was in their blood, just like the Senju loved the village and everyone they met as their own family. Calm down!

Just because i said ''so what if it's in THEIR nature'' doesn't mean that i agree with you that Itachi was arrogant as i've stated why he isn't arrogant (in my opinion). I do however understand where you come from when you say that Itachi is arrogant.

It showed arrogance while he had the mindset that what he was doing was just and that only he could do it! Once he acknowledges his error, he redemes himself from that arrogance that he once had in his ability to go solo. Arrogance isnt negated just because one believes they are right.. Thats actually kinda how arrogance is defined, so by definition; Itachi was arrogant in that regards to him being the only one to deal with the task at hand. But only (imo) in that aspect was he arrogant! Was it bad? No i dont think so, he did not want to burden others with the pain he would be facing so it could also be thought of as selfless, but still alittle arrogant!
