Sasuke was left alone to deal with the pain. Obito didn't care about his suffering and only wished to manipulate him. I guess that's why it took Sasuke so long to come back. All that pain and hatred can blind you. That's what drove Sasuke to make his plans to achieve true peace in his own way.

Naruto was the only one who could truly understand his pain. It took Sasuke 699 chapters and a good smacking to the head to realize Naruto's love for him.

The Sharingan causing the Uchiha to go evil was such a stupid cop-out answer. It seems like Kishi knew that Obito and Sasuke's mood swings were so petty and in-human that he had to rewrite the Sharingan into causing them to become lunatics for it to make sense.

I don't think that being angry and vengeful about your village slaughtering all of your loved ones on the basis of race alone is inhuman or petty​.

The problem I have with Sasuke haters is that many of them say Sasuke should've gotten over his family being killed.

Sasuke was 7 when he discovered all his loved ones dead. Then he learned that everything was a lie and how the village caused so much injustic towards his family.

Seeing that much death at a young age is traumatizing.

Him getting over it so easily would've been dumb. I would be pissed off to if I was in that situation.

The Uchiha don't necessarily take love too far. Sakura however took it too far when crushing on a man she hadn't seen in 2.5 years then trying to kill him when things didn't go her way. And knowing that Naruto was going to go after Sasuke, she manipulated Naruto and used him to get what she wanted.

The Uchiha's are merely avengers. The only wrong thing Sasuke did was attacking Killer Bee, beyond that, every confrontation he's been in has been provoked by the opponent directly or indirectly.

I could say the same thing about the Senju concerning love. They took their love for the village so far that Hashirama even said he'd kill his own child to protect the village. It's no surprise the Senju dissipated, they didn't take love between their family and close ones seriously.

Realistically speaking sasuke got over it pretty quick, he lost his entire family and clan, obito lost a woman, and he didn't let that sh t go till the very end in his 30's(I think)
