Water and wind!

Wind is awesome because you can use long range attacks or you can just augment your weapons with it like Asuma. And you can add wind to pretty much any attack and give it more range and power.

Water is good because of water prison and stuff like that but the main reason I would want it is because it is strong against wind's weakness, so I could just use it if anyone tried to turn my wind attacks against me.

Probably go with Fire and Earth. Even though Mei already uses it to make lava release, I feel there could be some other awesome jutsu you could make of the two. Possibly taking earth armor and coating yourself in the fire to light anybody on fire who attempts to attack you haha
