So.. I'm planing on buying new TV and the problem is that I don't understand much about them... they are all LED/LCD/HD and 50/60'' but what's the difference ? Price is jumpy:shrug: is LG good or should I only look for Samsung?

I picked up few, I like HarveyNorman, sales people are usually honest, but I'd be more then happy to purchase it online.. If someone could advice me !? would be LEGEND!

Samsung Series 6 Full High Definition 50'' LCD LED TV

LG 55LS5700 55" Full High Definition LED Smart TV

Samsung 50" Full HD 3D Capable Smart LED LCD TV

Sony HX750 Series 55" BRAVIA Full HD 3D Capable TV

searching for something BIG aprox for $ 900-1300

I think you mean LED, LCD, and plasma.

Basically LED is the best but it's the most expensive. Plasma is better than LCD, but it's prone to more problems.

DON'T buy Samsung. Trust me,My roommate and I bought a Samsung (pretty cheap about 600$) for our dorm and we've had to repair it like 3 times. So many things are wrong with Samsung TV's.. just get a Sony

Get the 1080p not 1080i, Yeah because of one reason "motion blur" it is so annoying in the first month but you get used to it, 1080p is the highest. I bet you have some video game console and some cable TV that provide HD. DO YOU REALLY NEED 3D or LED?? Samsung Series 6 is baddass but you can still get cheaper TV in the 500$ section. Make sure you buy the HDMI cable it is a cable that transfers HD videos from the cable box to the HD TV.

The second one has more HDMI and USB ports, which is good if you plan on connecting it with multiple portable systems.

The last one, yes, it is a smart TV and it has a 12 month warranty, but it's smaller, has less ports, and closer to your budget.

The second one is a little bit less, but it's larger, which is good.

If you wanna save a little bucks, pick the first one, but if you want a bigger tv with more ports, i suggest the second link.

yea I'm aware of that. as for 3d it's nice to have it. I have laptop 17'' with 3d :D

RCA and Panasonic are better than Sony.
RCA? Latest SONY's look pretty badass but damn expensive

Panasonic is the best you can get IMO. RCA is inexpensive and doesn't have many problems. I own two RCA tvs at my house and they haven't had any problems for the past three years. My friend has replaced an LG tv and a Sony tv because of lights going out and sound issues. LG's speakers suck.

You get what you pay for.
Read the warranty information.
Don't try to buy the latest and greatest new technology.
When you narrow it down to a few models, do an actual search for that model online. Don't bother reading reviews. Search for complaints and see how problems are resolved.

Companies like Sony and RCA are always a better choice over companies like LG and Vizio for the reasons above.
