And you're contradicting yourself. If they managed to make the technique without training like a crazy mongrel under Gai's command then hard work is not involved with the gates usage, meaning Lee is actually talented.

No im not. Rock lee didn't train with guy from birth it was a simple 2(at most 3) years. The equal to the ppl who did the crane formation. Now unless your gonna talk out ya ass and say they're all geniuses for learning it in the same or less time frame as lee (age is irrelevant) then it proves my point. If you work as hard as lee or guy then you'll get gates. There's no hidden talent or genius (that would detract from lee's character but i digress) behind it. Just simple hard work.

because your age doesn't effect how fast you learn gates, or any technique for that matter. All that's necessary is the fulfillment of its requirements, and i've yet to hear a tech be requirement be :"you must be this old to learn"

Kakashi's word isn't law, especially when guy points out he knows nothing of rock lee. Hiashi > Tsunade > Gai
