i like to have intelligent conversations with others not with people who pick what they want (what their understanding can handle) and throw the rest away.

Look, all I want is for you to bring up some feats that point to Jiraiya being above Pain. The way I currently view this, Jiraiya is above Pain hype-wise, while Pain is above him feat-wise, meaning that the way I see it, Pain is above him, since I consider feats to be above hype. It's like Hashirama and Hiruzen, with Jiraiya being Hiruzen and Pain being Hashirama.

I'd love to have an intelligent discussion. Please, give me some points, you seem to be very sure of yourself considering this matter.

This is just another example of Jiraiya being overhyped by his opponents, look at what Itachi said, that he could beat Itachi and Kisame at the same time. One on one, both of those characters would wreck Jiraiya. Actions are greater than hype.

BTW i think Nagato meant that if Jiraiya knew where his real body was and didnt fight the pains he would be defeated....as he couldnt move.

bro i really don't like to be rude but ..... when we have a conversation, i don't like people who just make up another understanding of what was said in the manga, then when they can't handle it they discard the whole thing.
you want feats and no hype but this logic is so flawed that it would deny the power level of so many legendary shinobi's, and BTW it takes away the fun out of this series (makes it like rocket science). am not talking about who would win any more, am talking about the logic you are using to debate, coz that logic is suggesting that i should cancel a very important aspect of the manga (statements). like you said " The way I currently view this, Jiraiya is above Pain hype-wise" now this so called "Hype" is kind of clear looking at how nagato approached this fight (luring jiraiya out, hiding the reviver, then say what he said after winning) but you somehow don't agree with the events that happened in the manga ...... so whats the point of arguing with you if your gona discard all of that and say "how would he counter this or that" ?? .... BTW we don't see EVERYTHING a character can do in one situation and if it was gona be effective then why didn't nagato use it ?? unless of course you know this character better than itself (or the writer)
