Are you referring to the scene where Mabui (I think that's what her name was) teleported her and Ay? If so, I believe she did use her regeneration technique. I remember how the naruto clone was shocked that she used it and assumed she would turn old. However, she stated that healing herself used far less chakra than healing the whole Konoha.

Just wanted to state that but other than that, I do agree that it would be a balance. Also, I agree that it if used unwisely, it would have tremendous set backs considering her healing jutsu and 8IG have harsh side effects

Yeah she did, but she activated it afterwards and only had flesh wounds.

You still don't get it Gate is negating all the natural inhibitors the body has to survive by using all that energy for one full force attack to the death. There is no holding back for survival or healing. Death is automatic.

I. The 8gates tech is leting all the chakra being limited by the "gates" run wild/loose and free, and all the physical changes are effects of too much chakra circulating in one's body and this is what harms the body while using this tech. So in summary one cld just say 8gates tech is abandoning all chakra control and just overloading the muscles and thats what makes it perfecy for taijustu(all chakra to muscles).
II. Strenght of a100 seal, is a tech that requieres great chakra control in that the user focuses and stores their chakra in one spot on their body over long periods of tym. When released the chakra boosts their medical and phyysical aspects(so far so good),
but when one opens 8gates chakra run wild.and free withoughy limitations while the seal is massive chakra limitation in one spot so activating 8gates first cld lead to the seal being undone and the stored chakra being flushed away in the rage of thr storm of 8gates chakra.
Pre releasing yin seal then releasing 8gates wld IMO have the same effect think of it as like a stream being followed by the surge of a burst dam wall, I dont think all the water will follow the meandering of the stream, it just flows in a large wave no meandering.

If it does work by some.miracle then the tear caused by 8gate and the so not good for u healing of the other tech just mean u are just waiting a few seconds before this antagonistic chakra relationship eats up all yo chakra coz well 8gate will run out sometime coz even with limitations removed u still have a time limit relevent to how much chakra is being used per miniscual time interval and Tsunade seal also has the same effect as its like a water tank being used, it runs dry soon enough and in this case even while just standing 8gates are tearing up yo body so Tsunade seal is healing u(using yo chakra and also drawing yo life limit closer)

Her muscle would rip to shreds people forget that opening the gates is extremely hard tsunade probably could open one or two but she wouldn't be able to sustain it for a while. Though she does have regeneration it would cause more harm than good. Think of it this way Tsunade uses chakra enhance her body it requires her to have perfect chakra control to regenerate, so what happens when you open the gates? Well your chakra is disrupted therefore she wouldn't be able to regenerate causing to be killed since she isn't accustomed to the gates
