[Theory] Tsunade is perfect for the 8 gates.

The reason the 8 gates can't be spammed is because of the severe damage done to the users body( muscle tears, damaged organs etc).

Tsunade is the perfect candidate for being a gate user.

She can regenerate instantaneously can already has a monsterous base strength.

Her regeneration would allow her to use the gates longer since she would be able to regenerate torn muscles and organs mid battle.

Might Guy's base strength is nothing compared to Tsunade's base strength but in the 7th gate, far surpasses any Ninja in Taijutsu, so much so that it was able to obliterate Madara's Susano'o

If Tsunade's base strength was enhanced by the gates by the same multiplicative factor that Might Guy underwent, she would be unsurpassed in raw power.


If only she underwent training in the gates. She would be able to practice it all the time, every day, due to no downtime from the damages( regeneration). If only she had Guy teach her. What a shame.

I have been thinking this ever since she released Byakugou. But as much power as she would have the side effects of both 8IG and Byakugou are compounding. Remember, cells can only divide so many times. If she is in a constant state of regeneration due to her constant state of damage received by 8IG she may die from using it without even unlocking the 8th gate.

She would have to be very careful about when to use 8IG and when to activate Byakugou to regenerate. Doing both at the same time would drain her chakra, overload her kintetsu, and cause a much more early death then either jutsu seperately.

But yeah, I think the result would be a longer state of 8IG and it's abilties enhanced by chakra control and Byakugou. Maybe then she could put up a much better fight against Madara

But it would be beyond broken; and Tsunade/Gai would make a good team.

I have to disagree Femme love. The side effects of both 8IG and Byakugou would create a perfect balance to prevent Spamage as you put it. But I believe Tsunade's 8IG would be more powerful than Gai's, Meaning she would probably be somewhere near her grandather's level.

But I was thinking Sakura would be the perfect Candidate for this as well.

Something about your post made me think of another scenario to this....What if Lee learned chakra control? I mean we know he doesn't use ninjutsu but I wonder if he were to perfect Chakra control I wounder if that would improve his use of 8IG....Just a stray thought off topic

Are you referring to the scene where Mabui (I think that's what her name was) teleported her and Ay? If so, I believe she did use her regeneration technique. I remember how the naruto clone was shocked that she used it and assumed she would turn old. However, she stated that healing herself used far less chakra than healing the whole Konoha.

Just wanted to state that but other than that, I do agree that it would be a balance. Also, I agree that it if used unwisely, it would have tremendous set backs considering her healing jutsu and 8IG have harsh side effects

No, such statement has been made in the manga. It does take a special type of training to be able to open the 8 gates, which unless Tsunade and Sakura build the endurance for, I doubt they could handle the strain. Maybe to be able to open 1-2 gates, but all 8 takes work.
